I always bring a list because if I don't I forget something I need. not only that but I want to make sure I have the money to pay for what I purchase.
-
Yes always.
-
Sometimes I do, it does help because it tends to keep me from overspending.
-
Yes, sometimes.
-
always a list and coupons.
-
Yes, I bring a list so I don't have to make another trip out to the store and it saves time and $$$$$.
-
No list ... just a mental list.
-
I used to all the time, but I've gotten out of that good habit. Thanks for reminder.
-
I always have a list, but usually end up buying things that are not on my list. At least with the list, I don't forget to buy something that I am out of.
-
I always have to take a list, otherwise I forget and it is usually something I especially needed.
-
I write a list out before I go to the store because it makes my shopping trip much easier. It also helps me stick to the list so I don't spend too much. Every now and then I'll see something in the store that I forgot to put on the list that I need, but for the most part I stick to my shopping list.
-
Yes.
-
Yeah, I have to. In fact not only do I take a shopping list with me but, as I've been so many times and know the layout of the store really well, I actually detail my shopping list in the same format that the shop is laid out in. This saves me going back and forth throughout the store for things I may have forgotten. So I'll always have fresh produce at the top of my list and pharmacy products at the bottom. Great eh!
-
yes I do if not id forget what I was there for!!!!!!!!!!!! :dog:
-
I make a list that I definitely do need and get what I really needed. Of course I always see something else that I need or just want.
-
Yes I do, i always have a shopping list with me, save time and money.
-
I have only wrote the items that I know I would not remember. I really never liked to bring a list because I felt it was slowing me down lol. My coupon organization is always work.
-
I always bring a list I hate forgetting things but now I write them on my phone.
-
I sometimes bring a list, but always buy more either way. It's even more difficult when the holidays approach, and you see things that would add to the ambiance.
-
Yes, always. Sometimes I even count how much each costs so I can budget...but not always. It depends on how much cash I have on me.
-
I walk to and from the grocery store so I take a list, my coupons and rewards card so I can make sure I get what I need. It's frustrating, to me, if I forget something.
-
Most times I bring a list so I can buy what I need. Then there are times when I go and get the store insert to see what's on sale. My husband shops most times. But he doesn't like to go to Walmart, which is the store I buy my seasonings and other things. It is nearing the holidays, and I am an admitted nut freak, so he may as well get ready.
-
I also print out my shopping for all the things I buy according to the layout of the store. I have been doing that for several years. It makes it easier because all you have to do is check off what you need.
-
I always bring my list hate it when I forget to bring it along when I go shopping for groceries.
-
I was good and would always make a list, but now i just go to the store, get detracted by 'temptations' and when i leave the store and get home, i remember the reason that i went to the store (where i probably stayed for 1 1/2)!
-
Absolutely .. my memory is not what it used to be ... ;D
-
Did last night - spent $65, but with my advantage card + Coupons = $51. Not too bad. 14/65 = 21.5% off
-
I always make a list and keep track of the total. If I don't, I'll overspend. I also try to avoid shopping when I'm hungry.
-
Where I shop I go on the website of our grocery store and make a list out and also get my coupons sent to my shopper's reward card and my cell phone. So digitally I have all I need when I shop on my grocery days. I am glad our store provides this convenient tool. :)
-
I sometime do a list or I go to threw every row. :)
-
Interesting topic! I some times have a list if it's 10 items or less (the usual necessities). Normally I clip coupons and ONLY buy what I clipped (I get paid 0.10 cents per coupon) and also have e-digital coupons, which I get money back that accumulates and I cash out when I get a big enough pot. I like to be frugal and my husband thinks i'm nuts, but I tell him "If it weren't for me saving money here and there, you wouldn't have a roof over your head". The economy stinks right now and every CENT helps! So please don't judge or laugh at me. ;D

Yes and No. If there are specific things I need, then I make a list. But, when I am going grocery shopping for the week, I like to aisle shop.
-

Yes. Coupons too! 8)

I try to make a list and try to stick to it even if I only go in for a few items. My biggest problem seems to be keeping up with the list!
-
no I don't use a list to buy groceries
-
I always bring a list but do pick up some things that are not on the list!!! That's the habit I need to break. I would have a lower food budget if I only got what was on the list.
-
always take a list,,, do my best to stick to it but sometimes i find things on sale that I pick up. Always use coupons !!!

Yes, sometimes.
i try to bring a list sometimes so i can avoid of spending too much but it doesn't work all the time.
-
I do, but I always end up getting something that's not in the list.
-
I always take a list and pretty much stay with it . But when hubby is with me it is a different tory. But after 20 years he pretty much knows that we are not going to buy all of this already prepared grocerys. Tha tis what his ex did an when he single he did it also. Why spend money on already prepared food items when i can make it at home and save money.
-
I try to be as organized as possible in all that I do...which is why I am posting so much today. I don't like to procrastinate or wast any time/money and having my posts completed during down time keeps me from missing out on the forum bonus. I take fifteen minutes on Sundays to search for recipes through the fusion search option (which earns me a nickel). I pick three dishes to make for dinner for the week and write down the ingredients. I plan out the lunches/breakfasts for the kids and my wife and add needed items to the list. I look at coupons and then split my shopping between Costco and King Soopers. I get four percent of purchase from soopers to apply to my daughter's soccer and money rewards from Costco.

Every time otherwise I will forgt somthing!

Yes, I always have a list, otherwise I would be sure to forget something that I need.

-
I generally bring a list because if I don't I'll buy way too much.
-
I always make list, to make save some I really need a list, And I don`t go to shopping if I`m hungry, that wayt the yummy food in isle don`t attract me that quick.
-
I alway make a list. I forget things way to easy these days!
-
If it's something I really need, I will write out a list. But if it is just shopping to replace something before it runs out then I never use a list.
-
Yes but I always lose it while shopping. It usually falls out my pocket or I leave it on the shelf while I was looking at something
-
usually yes if not I forget what im there for,,lol :silly:
-
I used to bring the list; sometimes I got too busy I even forgot where I put my list :P
-
I don't really cook anything so I don't bring a list as I don't need ingredients. Usually my daughter and I go to the store a few times a week and just pick up a few things for a few days.
-
I would be lost without my list. I never shop without one.
-
Yes sometimes I do to make sure I don't forget anything that I need
-
If I didn't bring a list, I would come home with too many things I did not need, and half of what I did need!
-
Since reconciling the family checking account for the first time in twenty years (about six months ago) I realized that grocery shopping was one of the areas that I could completely cut back on from an expense standpoint. I have turned it into an art. I search for recipes for each night of the week (using the fusion cash search engine so that I make a nickel a day), plot out what I will need to make these dishes, clip coupons on Sunday, and shop for everything on Wednesday night after Dinner. After dinner so that I don't buy on impulse. Wednesday nights because(according to yahoo finance) it is the best night for deals at a grocery store. I have saved well over four thousand dollars in the last year alone!

This is an absolute must for me. I didn't realize how dependent I was on having a grocery list till my husband and I were shopping for a couple of days with the kids gone. I didn't have a list...hadn't planned a single meal and while standing in one of the aisles he says to me, "you're lost without a list aren't you?" I truly was. I couldn't focus... nor was I interested in shopping. I usually make a menu for 1, 2 or sometimes even 3 weeks... on another sheet of paper I make the list of what I'll need. I'm reading super brain now and one of the things it mentions is training your brain to not rely on lists. Whoa now I'd rather make my list than forget 1/2 of what I need and end up spending more in gas to get the store to pick up everything I didn't account for.
-
Sometimes I do and sometimes I dont, but it goes much better and is a more organized trip if I have a list.
