Just bought the turkey. I was able to pick out the turkey, it was all the way in the back of the bin and I spotted my Jenny'O, 22.70 lbs, prize turkey. Well, I had to stretched-reach, I picked up 22.70 pounds of bird, so happy I found a large bird, I sounded with glee as I worked it. It set other shoppers to giggle, gave a shopping thrill at the store.

I hope you have the freezer space to keep that really big bird cold until Thanksgiving!

I usually get a 23-25 pound turkey. But you have to get it early or the big ones are all gone. I usually have 30-40 people here for Thanksgiving dinner so a big turkey and a ham is needed to feed everyone! I plan on looking for my bird this weekend.

Ours is about 23 lbs. I was almost afraid we weren't going to find one this size! I gotta have my BUTTERBALL!!! YAY!!!! :D

Going to get mine this weekend. I'll try to get the biggest one I can find, must be at least 20 pounds. If I can't find one in the grocery store, there is a turkey farm about 20 miles from our home and you can get any size you want there. Of course it's much more expensive but if I can't find one in the grocery store I'll go there.

No idea my family hasn't bought ours yet but I'm guessing it'll be in the 20's as it usual is most years.

i dont know the size of the turkey. have not gotten it yet

Usually I get my turkey about a month before Thanksgiving but I was late this year. I was worried that there'd only be small ones or whopping ones left but thankfully I got just about the right size 18 lb. Whilst this is a bit smaller than some of yours, if I get one too big, we'll be eating it until Christmas - which is not in itself a bad idea, except that at Christmas I want to be cooking another one!

I have cut back on my turkey size over the years. I always smoke our turkey. The family loves the variety of the smoked vs traditional oven-roasted. I do have a relative who can't eat smoked meat because of a food allergy. The bad part is she really likes smoked turkey and ham. Happy Thanksgimee!

too soon to get it now I think.will go the sunday before thanksgiving. have always gotten one then' Safeway seems to be the place to go think they will have the large ones 20lb or more for 59cents a lb hopefully. Will be very crowded that day and I get a 22lb at least for left over sandwiches.

it'll be already chopped up and in a pre=made frozen potpie.

I believer our Butterball is 10-15 pounds.
