I will say growing up with Beatles and the 60s i was quite surprised how much i enjoyed the music from the 80s.I would say "The Alan Parsons project"was my favorite band from that era.I bought most of their albums.
-
Practically anything from Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, etc...

I am a fan of the 80's and sometimes I wish that I could go back in time and do that part of my life all over again.
-
It is some of my favorite music too....I have too many songs I like to pick just one! I grew up during the 80's so I have it in my blood.
-
OMG I love almost every 80's song! New Edition! Run D M C! World class wrecking crew! Pebbles! Jody Watley! Cindy Lauper!
-
I am a fan of the 80's and I like the music of that era. I wish that there was more music being played today that was made at that time.
-
There were several music groups I enjoyed during the 80's. A few were Journey, The Cars, Heart, Toto (whatever happened to them), Fleetwood Mac and Chicago.
-
I am more of a 60s guy...but I started getting into "The Alan Parsons Project"around 1980....I love them and have most of their recordings.
There was a main member in the band named Eric Wollfson...sad he passed away a few yrs ago in his 60s...A true shame because of the talent. Its like John Lennon was taken from us far too early!!
-
I was in grade and jr. high during the 80's. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of me and my friends at our local YMCA at the monthly dances they used to host.. that and bus rides to sporting events.. someone always had a boom box in the back of the bus and it never failed that Guns n' Roses would be blasting from it.

Oh yeah! I was gonna say "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show" (although I don't know, wasn't that the 70's or 60's?), but "Ghostbusters" SCREAMS 80's Music! It's partly that electric-piano, and partly that almost-"Mickey's Mouseketeers" response "GHOST-BUSTERS!" :monkey:
-
:star:  don't have one
-
Anything by Prince and Michael Jackson, and any of my other favorite artists.

The late 80's were my high school years and I remember being a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seegar. I guess that influence was because I have three big brothers, though.
-
80's rule
-
Alright I can't even begin on this one. I love the 80's music and from the time I was 17 up till I was 24 I worked in our civic center at home, as an usher/security back stage, so I got to see everything that came through and got to meet a lot of the stars. My boss was good friends with my parents so I was the only girl he trusted working back stage on the dressing rooms. Good times!
-
what is your favorite 80's song?
my favorite 80's song is one of Madonna's song. "Like a virgin".
-
Never gonna give you up,,,by Rick Astley, this is me and my husband favorite 80's song
-
i was born in the early 80's so while i was growing up i didnt listen to much of it but i have found as i get older that i like it far more then son of the obnoxious stuff that is being produced today where every other word is a cuss word.
-
OK, I'm getting a little paranoid with Pandora... When I was in the Justin Bieber thread, it started playing Bieber and Nikki Minaj's "Beauty and a Beat". And now it started playing The Human League's "Don't You Want Me"! :confused1:
What I liked about the 80s was all of the glam metal bands.... Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi, etc. I still remember being in the Boy Scouts sitting in the back of our reconverted "school" bus heading out to a campsite headbanging to "Shout at the Devil" that one of the older scouts was playing on their boom box. (Really Pandora?! The rest of the morning has been more modern pop songs, and now it's Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World"! :o )
The 80s were also great for all of those one-hit wonders. Although other decades have their share too, most people think of the 80s when you mention one-hit wonders.... If you want to see people smile as they remember back to those days, just play Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come On, Eileen" or A Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran (So Far Away)". (Better Pandora... Drake's "Started From the Bottom" is definitely not an 80s song).
-
Hey, Motley Crue is doing their last tour ever and charging an arm and a leg. :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth: :moneymouth:

Love the music from 80es
Just remind me that i am old, haha... That was 34 years ago!
-
Any of Michael Jackson's songs. I love that song they play in "The Breakfast Club".
-
I graduated High School in 1980 and loved that whole decade of music. But I must say my favorite musician is Phil Collins his older stuff with Genesis and then his later music as he ventured out on his own. He is such an excellent drummer, singer, song writer. His hard beats and emotionally charged songs are just awesome!
-
If I had to choice anything by Kiss or ACDC
-
The 80's were my high school years and I loved about all the music that came from that decade except the boy bands. I never really got into that for some reason. I did like the current music of the time, but had three older brothers, so I really got more into the stuff from earlier like Zeppelin and Springsteen.
-
Well. This is like when all the classic heavy metal bands were coming in. Testament, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Exodus, Sodom, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and plenty more. (Not to leave anyone out)
-
Anything Pat Benater,meatloaf, duran-duran, Def Leopard....air supply, queen, .....
-
All of them. I really like the 80's.
-
It's hard to choose, but anything from Prince, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Earth , Wind,& Fire, etc.
-
The 80was great music nothing like music today I moved music
-
I am a big fan of all 80's music. But if I had to pick one song, my favorite would be "I Melt With You" by Modern English.
-
There were a lot of 80s music that I forgot I liked, and we were also trying to see who could name the title and artist in the least amount of notes. Talk about a lot of fun, so much that it inspired an 80s Halloween party as a fundraiser.

All of the 1980's music was great. I have so many favorite songs from the 1980s. "Man Eater," and "Jessie's Girl," are two of my favorites.
My television is always tuned to the 80's music channel.
