Title: free ebooks for Nook
Post by: swogden on November 14, 2013, 10:16:07 pm
I'm a new owner of a Nook reader and am enjoying getting ebooks through my local library facilities.

But I've also found a couple of sites online that offer free ebooks -- but I have to download something. (to actually facilitate the transfer..maybe.. or ?).

I was comfortable downloading the app from the library (or Barnes and Noble), but am cautious about downloading one from these other online sites:

readingfanatic....com  Not sure this is anything more than downloading the ASK toolbar.  It doesn't give me any information about the books that are available.

allyoucanbooks.....com   This site allows free downloads for a trial period and then it costs 14.95/mo.  So not so free.

Has anyone had any experience with these sites (good or bad) or any other sites for downloading free ebooks?

What format does your book use? I have some books, but I don't know if they are compatible. I'd be happy to share them with you if you want some.

I believe the format is Adobe EPUB for ebook -- at least that's what I select when I borrow a book from elibrary.  Not sure how I would borrow or lend books from/to individuals.  Thanks for the thought, tho.
