The Church of Christ Dogma-Loggers (http://www.fusioncash.net/forum.php?topic=60924.0) claim that Elders (chosen 'pillars' of the church) are good 'watchmen' (members who make sure that their church stays 'right'). That is WRONG because ... members typically become "elders" by going along with whatever the majority says is good.
What's right is RIGHT, whether it's 'good for the church head-count' or not!

The "watchmen" of the Church should be those who are interested in the growth of the Church through the truthful teaching of the Word. However, I am not sure I am completely understanding what you are trying to say in your post. Is growth not a good thing? And if making sure that the Church stays "right" means that the Church is staying within the Word of God, then where is the issue? I am just not understanding what your question is.

Yes, it IS a little confusing. Growth IS a good thing, but not at the expense of truth. Too often, what's 'right' to the Church is what feels right---leading people to follow God based on feelings; but what is REALLY right is NOT based on feelings!

To me Church is everywhere I am. I believe in God and Jesus Christ within me. MY heart is where my believe is. :angel11:

But what if an Elder tells you something different?

“I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong.
It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.”
Jeremiah 10 verse 23

... "... It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.”...
Then where does this "free will" I hear about come into play?

Jesus said the first and most important commandment was to Love God with all his soul, mind etc.Jehovah didnt create man to automatically love him otherwise that wouldnt be love. The scripture in Jeremiah means man trying to rule himself apart from God guidance WONT work.6000 years of mans existence has proven that when he tries to govern himself apart from God it doesnt work!!Yet we have free will to decide if we accept that from our creator.God isnt about to let a chaotic society go on forever such is the case with our planet.
Remember Jesus <who was Jehovahs son and spokesperson as a man said,He that is not on my side, scatters.
It comes down to do with accept or reject Gods rule. And ultimately our life is involved.
