Anyone live in a mobile home? Do you like ,how much did it cost and what is the rent. We are thinking of buying one in Cal my husbands commute is really getting to him.We could sell our house for a small profit and buy a mobile home but don't know much about them. Do they take dogs we have a lab he is an older dog but still active but stays in most of the time.would need a small yard with grass.

I lived in a large nice mobil home for years and really enjoyed it. But i also owned the lasn. Before that i rented a mobil home space and the rent was not bad, but this was in N.M... And they allowed dogs and also children in certain parts. But i have no idea about Ca. I suggest you start calling around. Because some also have size and width restrictions.

We have land in North Carolina that we've just had sitting there for a while. We play around with the idea of retiring there, and go back and forth between the idea of a mobile vs. pre-fab house.

I had a mobile home at the beach for over 20 years, but we just used it in summer and weekends. I bought a lot in a mobile subdivision for $11,000 and put an old mobile on it for $3,500 including hookups. After the 20 years we sold it for $45,000 and bought a condo system.

I don't know much about California, but I love my mobile home. It is much cheaper than a home, but the floor plan can really be roomy for a double wide. Zoning is going to be your biggest concern. Your set-up costs will be a lot more than you might think, depending where you locate. Some mobile home parks have yards, but you will just have to do your research.

I have always thought about buying one. But I never did. I saw some model homes and they do look very nice.

I live in a double wide not set up on a permanent foundation and is listed as real estate. I bought it and land as a package deal. They are just as nice as some houses.

I've never had a mobile home. Some people like them a lot. If I had one I would want it to be one I could move with my own truck. I would want to tour the country with it.

There is nothing wrong with Mobile Homes. They are great to live in. I lived in one for years and years.
Enjoyed it a lot.

We lived in a mobile home for a while and I was satisfied with it. You can pretty much customize them to fit your needs nowadays. I would live in one again if I ever decided to sell my house.
