Title: How Often Should We "Quote" the Topic-Start?
Post by: mythociate on January 24, 2014, 04:34:36 am
The setting I use on these topics is 'newest entry first' (because it gets me straight into the newest discussion on a topic). But sometimes I forget what the original topic was (as 'positioned' by the full text of the topic start)---the only way I can review being 'to go to the very-last page and scroll down to the very first entry' ... & sometimes I would just very-much rather 'save bandwidth' & go on to the next topic.

Oh! I think to myself at those times, If only someone had quoted the original topic on this last page, so that I could simply scroll down & read it rather than either 'waste the bandwidth going to the first post' or 'forgetting about it & going on!'  :(

But I don't exactly want EVERY responder to "quote" the topic-start, so I figure that whoever is responding ought to 'quote' the topic start if they see a multiple-of-ten is the number of responses thus-far made?

Sound good? Or how often do YOU 'quote' the topic-start in this community-forum?
