What's the best way to ease knee pain in one knee?

Buy a new one lol

I have tried tiger balm. That seemed to help a bit.

I guess it all depends on the type of pain, but I have pain from running and I have to take pain meds and ice it. I also wear a knee brace or strap when I exercise.

As the previous poster said, it depends on the kind of pain, and what you suspect the source of the pain was. If you think the issue is due to inflammation, try icing it to reduce the swelling.
If you feel it's straining, could be related to overly tight muscles in your legs putting added pressure on the knee joint. For this try stretching your calves, quads and hamstrings. If you have a tennis or racket ball, or a foam roller, try rolling your calves, feet, all sides of your thigh (quads, hamstrings, inner and outer legs), and glutes and lower back. If the pain lessens, you may need to keep up the stretching and rolling for a bit until your leg muscles stay relaxed. If it's muscle related - have you changed up a workout or doing something different that might cause them to be tighter (like shoveling snow?). If you can identify the source, then you can judge if this is temporary or if you might need to build up some strength if this will be normal for you.
Also, for either, drink some extra water - that will help flush out any impurities in the tissues.
