Title: Other (semi-unique) ways to earn money?
Post by: seedwerd on January 28, 2014, 10:19:09 pm
Just curious (as we're all just a LITTLE bit willing to do odd things for money), what are some of the other little things you do with your spare time to try to make an extra buck here and there? Also, what's the weirdest thing you've ever done for money? nothing dirty, please.  :angel11:

For me, I used to donate plasma twice a week. It was a great little bit of extra spending money (read: poker money, lol). I once ate a dollar bill for a five dollar bill. hahaha

Surveys helped me a lot. That is until my computer staring to freeze a lot. I know I have a fan problem on this computer but I gotta get some money every day. There is just no secret to this website. All you do is find something that works well for you and your spare time.

I have tried to donate plasma but was declined because my veins are too small real bummer there.  but some of the other things is i run an ebay site i run an etsy site i run amazon and half.com plus i belong to around 20 other sites that i do every day.  As a stay at home mom this is the only income source that i have and the more money i make the longer i will be able to stay home which im shooting for forever at this point since we are planning on having another child soon and i will be homeschooling our children.

I have a couple of Etsy shops, a Zibbet shop, and a Zazzle shop, but they don't make much money. Every little bit helps. Probably the most unusual thing I do is collect cans along the roads for the deposit money. (But not in the winter!)

I save all my quarters.  Then put them in the paper holders and voila I have extra money.  It isn't earning, but is fun when you get a lot saved and can then spend it on something special.  They add up pretty fast.

    I see to work more hours and make a lot less than I use to.   have numerous part time jobs.  I am a Notary Public, I do some process serving, several different survey sites, we have been cleaning out homes and helping elderly select what to sell or send to others as they are down sizing (a couple have been cleaning out homes where they have died).  Picking up cans and bottles on our morning walks.  We do events at my sister's home, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties (helps out my sister too!)  We have yard sales with stuff we have accumulated about every 8 weeks.  Anything that doesn't  sale in the 2 days of the sale we donate to charity.  We have sold some books on sites that we have found, where they send you the mailer for the books, so it costs nothing.  We have taken some clothes that are in very good shape and sold at consignment shops.  We are always looking for ways to make money since we have been laid off of jobs that we had for over 30 years.

I must be incredibly naive.  I had no idea you could donate plasma in exchange for money.  Hmmm definitely something to think about doing if there is a blood bank in the nearest town I'd have to travel to.  One of the things I do to save.. not really make money is my own laundry.  My husband bought me a wonder washer for my birthday ... that was over a year ago.  I do anywhere from 1-5 loads of laundry a day... with well water I'm not having to pay for water.  I hang the damp clothes up in my kids room when they are sleeping or when they are in school during the day. In the last year I've visited the laundromat 3 times.  To do towels and comforters.

I've been doing a bunch of free trials lately and being paid for it except every now and then I forget to cancel on time and end up losing money but i still make way more than i had to spend.

This is the first time for me doing something for money but I use to have a full time job. I have went logging for money and even traveled to do maintenance work at my aunts house. Right now I have Fusion Cash, and two other websites but I have only been paid from Fusion Cash and I have received two checks, not bad for just being here for a few months.

I do several GPT (Get Paid To) sites in my spare time.  I also recycle aluminum cans.  It takes a lot of them to get anything.
