We have burn days now. Very dry here. Fire in the fireplace is cozy and romantic.
-
Have one but only allowed to use gas in it. Looks nice and less maintenance. Occasionally use my chimenea in the back yard even though I think it is illegal unless you are cooking. I just keep some hot dogs and marshmallows on hand in case someone comes knocking.
-
Nope I do not but would be nice
-
We have a fireplace, but we're not really allowed to use this very often due to weather conditions (unhealthy air conditions ban). I use to like using the fireplace when I was little when we were less environmentally friendly and using paper as kindle.
-
No fireplace or fire.
-
I have a fireplace in my summer home -- obviously don't use it in the summer.
For many years, we would use it in late fall or winter if we were there, but eventually got away from using it. It seems that more heat when up the chimney than warmed the room.
-
Gas fireplace at home.
-
No fireplace for me.
-
I have one but never used it. It's gas and being this is an old house, I am not sure if it's working properly. So I just stick with the central heating unit. Although I am thinking of replacing the old gas one and just go with wood to heat up in this cold winter for next year.
-
it has been one hell of a cold winter here in iowa. i wish that we had a fireplace because i would so be using it. it would be wonderful to snuggle down in front of a warm fire right now actually. maybe in the next house we will be able to get a house with a fireplace.
-
I wish i have a fireplace, but I have good ol central heat/air. I would love to make a fire and get really cozy on those really cold days!
-
We don't have a fireplace and I miss having one. When I was young we would have a fire going and one of my Chihuahuas would get as close as she could comfortably get and stay for a long time.
-
I had a fire place at two different places I lived. I haven't had a fire place in years though and I really wish I still had one. They're really nice to have on cold winter nights plus you can sort of camp out indoors and make s'mores or roast hotdogs and such.
-
No fireplace here. It would come in handy during power outages though. Our furnace is fueled by gas and powered by electricity.
-
Yep, have and use the fireplace all the time. It is a freestanding one, and i am going to replace it this year with a newer one. Sure cuts down my gas bill. And we always are out cutting free firewood. So i don't have to pay for the fuel either. It is work but the exercise is good for us.
-
No unfortunately we do not have a fireplace. We had one when we lived in Maine and it was awesome.
-
We have a fireplace, but we haven't used it in years.
-
We do have a fireplace. But we haven't used it in years.
It seems to suck the heat out of the room rather than add heat.
-
We ditched the Fireplace when we purchased this home... they are a pain in the rear and you can't use them in the South that often...
-
No fire place. I live in a condo so can't have one. Our former house did have a fire place but never did use it.
-
I agree, I love having real wood in the fireplace.
-
I don't have a fireplace but would really like one. I grew up with this huge fireplace in the house. Great fun to sit in from of the fireplace eating popcorn.
-

We have a fireplace but haven't used it since about November.
-
I always wanted a house with a fire place but never found one but someday.
-
I don't have a fireplace but would like to have one.
-
We have a wood stove and have used it a lot this year with all the cold weather. I love to watch the fire. The only thing I miss is the fact that this woodstove doesn't allow us to burn it open.
-
we love our fireplace! my son especially likes roasting marshmallows over it lol
-
No, but I have always wanted a home with one.
-
wood butning fireplace with a blower system attached very cozy and nice
-
We have a fireplace but it is for looks only. Too much work to burn it. We use to have to heat with wood and coal. I have had my fill of cutting, loading, unloading and stacking firewood and coal.
-
I've got a fireplace. There's nothing like it on a cold night.
-
No.... I live in an apartment
-
We have spare the air days and if your caught using your fireplace, you'll be fine.
-
When we lived in our first apartment, we had a fireplace. One very cold night, which was
-10 below, the heater went out! Thank God for the fire place. We don't have
a fireplace now in our house. I wish we did.
-
I do have a fireplace in my den. This was one of the main reasons I bought my house. I love to light a fire when it is cold outside because I love to watch the flames.
-
We have burn days now. Very dry here. Fire in the fireplace is cozy and romantic.
Ihave a gas fireplace and it burns clean have really used it this winter it has been cooled hopping the weather cleas up soon we are now on our third snow storm with more snow coming :(
-
Yes, but it had been used only a few times...makes the house too stinky.
-
Nope, no fireplace here. I have never really had one. I did have an apartment one time that had one of the pretty electric ones on a light switch, though. That's about the closest I have ever come to having one and we never really even used that one.
-
no I do not have a fireplace. im afraid of fires
-
we do and i love the smell of a fire going..a fire in the fireplace is so relaxing to look at...we use ours a lot on chilly days..not so much on cold cold days..let the hump pump work on colder days..
-

-
I have a gas fireplace that looks and feels like the real thing without all the mess. I've used it more this winter than ever before. :)
-
Nooooooooooooo! :crybaby2: I grew up with a wood stove and my Dad always made sure the house was warm and toasty. I sure do miss that!
-
Yes, I have a fire place but I hardly ever use it cause I have gas heat.
-
I have been fireplace free for a few years now, I really do miss it.....
-
We do, but it's useless here in Texas lol. Very rarely have we've actually used it.
-
I don't have a fireplace but I have relatives who have a fireplace. The heat from the fireplace is always so nice, warm and relaxing. :)
-
I had a fireplace in my old home. It is usually a requirement for me...but this house had everything else. Luckily I own some property and can burn or bon fire if I like. Have a great warm week.
-
I don't have a fireplace but I do have a nice European wood stove. It heats the whole house in a nice warm dry heat. I really love it but we can't use it any more because one of our neighbors sued us to get us to stop using it. He couldn't stand the odor of burning wood coming from our chimney. The suit was dropped before it went to court, but we stopped using the wood stove anyways because of the hassle with the neighbor.
:monkey:
-
Yes I have a fireplace but we do not use it that often .. It is downstairs in my family room so we will sometimes light it when we are watching TV
-
Fireplaces are actutally one of the best things during the winter! And bonfires are awesome in the summer/fall/spring.
-
I have a fireplace, but I usually use my propane ventless heater.
-
have gas logs
-
I don't have a fireplace. I'm not sure I would want one because I am allergic to smoke. Even a little bit sets me off.
-
I do have a fireplace and I love it. I would love to be able to burn wood, but I don't have anywhere to store the wood so I use fireplace logs like duraflame.
-
No fireplace for me because it is simply too hot!
-
No fire place here nor would I want one :bad:
-
With all the cold and snow this year we've had a fire in our wood stove a lot. It makes you feel warmer just to see it and it does keep the house warmer.
-
We have a gas fireplace.... I still love it sit in front of it and enjoy it, but NOTHING like the SMELL of a fire!!! love it, love it, love it!
-
I can't see why people in Florida have fire places. They even have fire pits outside. Florida is so hot - why make it worse?????
