Title: Poetry

Does anyone here write poetry? If so, would you be willing to share something with us?

Does anyone have a favorite poet?


One of my favorites is a newer poet, his name is Marshall Davis Jones. If you've never heard of him, you can find videos of him performing spoken word poetry on YouTube. He's really good.  :thumbsup:

I occasionally write poems but haven't in a while. I'll try to write one and share with you if I can find the time to do. Been somewhat busy lately.

I have written several and some have been published. Here is one:
Knowing
Words are power that comes out of your head,
you write about the living, you write about the dead,
you can write about the happy,
you can write about the sad,
you can write about the joyful,
you can write about the mad.
Whatever you say in the fine print
Gives everyone's mind just a little hint,
 So write the truth whatever it be,
life depends on the words that's how people see.
