Title: private lessons - waiting for the teacher

I have a friend who is taking  Mah Jongg lessons. She was waiting for the teacher to come at the designated time.

The teacher didn't call her to tell her that they wouldn't meet this week.
My friend didn't call to check.
There was no lesson.

Isn't that the most rude thing!  Altho, something may have happened where the teacher couldn't call, I hope the teacher is alright.

Well, I suppose as long as the "teacher" doesn't expect to get "paid" for his/her not showing up at the designated time; and the person taking the "lessons" doesn't mind - then there's no harm done.  If it were me, I'd be looking for a new "teacher."

   Private teacher-private lessons. My teachers were very reliable.

That's pretty rude. Reminds me of someone close to me.
