Title: Mr,walton as we know him
Post by: stretch1967 on February 15, 2014, 12:50:00 pm: It is so sad that we lost another great actor. He was like family. I always enjoyed the waltons. He has been on NCIS for a while. He will be missed.

I didn't realize he was on NCIS. I am glad I am not the only one who thinks it is sad when somebody like him dies. I realize I don't know him but I grew up watching the Waltons and have the DVDs and still watch them.
Not many good shows on these days.

I wasn't as familiar with her. I hear her name and I think of the ads that use to run for DVDs of her movies.
There was 2. One where she sings "and the most crackers in my soup" and the other scene that comes to mind is where she is talking to some lady and something about a chicken or duck or something laying an egg.
The lady says "well what's the big deal with that' and Shirley replies "Well...can YOU lay an egg" lol

Post by: BATISTAGIRL663 on February 15, 2014, 04:54:25 pm: I was very sad to hear of his passing--last week we lost Mr Olsen (Richard Bull) off of Little House and then it was Shirley Temple and now Papa Walton --makes me feel old that all the stars we grew up with are crossing over --its also a shame that our children dont have people like this to grow up with --thank goodness for reruns!!
