Title: Do You Really WANT a Longer Life if It Means You Have to Be a Vegetarian?
Post by: mythociate on February 17, 2014, 11:40:00 am
Care2 explains how being a meat-eater actually changes your digestion (http://www.care2.com/causes/how-red-meat-changes-your-gut-bacteria-to-cause-heart-disease.html)---making you age faster & increasing your risk of heart-attack.

But isn't there something missing in your life if you can't triumphantly dine on roast-beast?

(And if you can't/don't/wouldn't-if-you-could,
 don't you wish you could/did/didn't-really-care-so-much?)

Animals may benefit man by serving as food. Originally, God provided only vegetation as food for man. But more than 1,600 years later—after the Flood of Noah’s day—God said: “Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. As in the case of green vegetation, I do give it all to you.” (Genesis 1:29; 9:3) Thus, God made the concession for humans to eat animals. Evidently, this concession was for man’s good, although originally God did not include meat as part of the human diet.

Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.—1 Cor. 15:33.

Human governments may provide health alerts regarding foods and medicines. Obviously, not all foods and medicines are bad. But if a specific product poses a threat, the government may issue balanced warnings to protect its citizens. If the government did not do so, it would be guilty of negligence

Ones health to abstain from sugar etc can also determine ones diet as well.

It is up to you. Forget what the Bible says...and go by scientific research. The findings are: Vegeterians live longer!

But do they really live, ancmetro? Or do they just 'float in a cesspool of vegetable soup'?

You have to be sharper than that Myth....the science part not meant for your original question.

Your original question i answered........the ad-libbing i did was in response to the rudeness......again not you.

We find some try to get their 30 posts at the expense of being rude to others.Id like to see Fusion Cash instill a new rule.

If your 30 posts are boring at the expense of others you get $3 deducted from your acct.

Im not giving any examples what defines a post thats boring at the expense of others.

Go teach yourself discernment!!

Even if it were true that vegetarians live longer, they surely don't enjoy their meals nearly as much as the rest of us.

I would say yes. I've known vegetarians who had to go to doctors and find that they are having many problems due to their lack of a normal diet. We evolved eating meat and it's just common knowledge that all of nature has a food chain. Even if you get your protein intake from supplements and such, I just think you're missing out on some great food. I do understand the humane side of it though.

Do you know how awful the past was before modern sciences? Especially in the field of farming? I'd tell you to do some research and see just how dependent we are on food produced by sciences, but you are a stupid person who belongs to a church that produces extremely stupid people, so there's no reason to even bother. Just continue with your foolish and delusional garbage.

I completely agree.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. An atheism is here depicted which goes beyond even that of Psalm 10. There the existence of God was not so much denied as his providence. Here his existence is not only denied, but denied in the very depths of the man's heart. He has contrived to convince himself of what he so much wishes. The psalmist regards such a state of mind as indicative of that utter perversity and folly which is implied in the term nabal (נָבַל). They are corrupt; literally

Only corrupted to a narrow-minded individual. This is a cult mentality you speak of. Congratulations. Let's get back to talking about vegetarians and avoid more of your pointless thread hijacks.

Your first post = you immediately went to the bible to try to pass some of your cult-like mentalities onto others, so you were the one who introduced it. Ancmetro's post was in response to it as well. And that science and stat "BS" has disproved your claims 100% of the time in the past.

I like vegetables as well as the next person, but eating them all the time?  No, I wouldn't.  I like veggies with my meat, especially corn and string beans.  Being a vegetarian would entail eating them all the time.   :rainbow:

I think everything in moderation is the key to a long and happy life.
