It's a recut version of the Jesus segment of the recent Bible mini series.

Given that I already saw it,I'll probably skip this one in theaters.But I wish them luck.

Not yet, but a friend of mine saw it and said it was good. I hope too get to see it.

I heard they cut out the scenes with the so called "Obama-Devil".

Kinda stupid to bow to public pressure like that,IMO. ::)

My sister and dad went out to see it yesterday, but I haven't asked them yet how they liked it. It is just an edited cut from the mini series shown on the History channel last year - I think that was something like 10 hours?, and the version in theaters is about 2 and a half hours. They should have saved the release date for some time closer to Easter!  :party: :star: :thumbsup:

From the previews I have seen it looks like The Bible Series that premiered on Lifetime and The History Channel. I think it may have some deleted scenes as well. I loved The Bible Series. It was very touching and I enjoyed learning more about some of the people from the bible and their specific stories. I had heard the producers of the show are going to add more stories. I hope they do.

I probably won't watch this movie because when I saw The Passion of the Christ I just can't watch them beating and hanging Jesus on the cross but I am looking forward to seeing Noah..play by Russel Crowe  :peace: :heart: :angel11:

I haven't gone to a movie house in years so I am sure that this movie will not be an exception.  It would be nice to hear what other thought of it.  Sometimes I buy or rent DVD's so I will see it after it is released in movie theaters.  We often will check out movies from the library but they take forever to get in stock.  Unfortunately, we also don't have T.V. so missed the series as well.  Depending on how long ago the series was created, our library may have a copy.  Something I may have to check on.  I have always felt that watching a movie or documentary is more entertaining than having to read!

There was a commentary on our local news station regarding this movie and it was all extremely positive. I really want to go see this! I love faith based movies and am looking forward to seeing this one. Hey! if Pastors are endorsing it and telling people to miss church if they have to then it must be a pretty good movie. :heart:
