Title: Do You Knit, Crochet, Quilt or do Needlework?
Post by: braggin on March 05, 2014, 12:07:06 pm
I used to crochet a lot when I was in my early twenties and then stopped for many years. Now that I am a Senior Citizen, I have taken up crocheting again plus a friend taught me how to knit, which is fun too. Now I meet with a group once a week to gab while we do handicrafts. It's a lot of fun and we make some really handy items too. Do you
do any handiwork?

I used to know how to crochet, but it's been years since I last picked up some yarn.
I've been thinking about re-learning to crochet and maybe selling things on etsy or ebay.

I do make jewelry though! I'm not right now because I'm busy with school and work, but I enjoy making jewelry when I have some free time.

I knit and crochet. I have made several items over the years. When my two 20 year old granddaughters were born I made them dresses. I have made blankets, shawls, hats and scarfs. Am presently working on a hat for my friend. I don't follow patterns because I don't understand what they say so I make up my own patterns. Years ago I used to do needlework but haven't done it recently or plan on doing it in the future.

I use to knit a lot in the past when I wasn't as busy. I think it is relaxing, and fun to do when relaxing at the end of the day. I have always wanted to learn how to quilt.

I can crochet a little. I actually started to make a blanket last year but never finished. When I was little my mom tried to teach me some intermediate crochet techniques but she would always go so fast that I would get frustrated and discouraged.

I used to do a lot of different handiwork crafts.  I have done multiple Counted Cross Stitch pictures, I've crotched a few afghans, I knitted a sweater (it didn't fit! ).....

Getting together to work on handicrafts sounds FUN!!

I have always wanted to learn to knit or crochet.  I used to needle point.  I was just thinking about picking that up again.  I have an owl I need to finish.
