Well I will be another year older on Sunday, March 9th. I am
Celebrating 49 years on this earth. Nothing special
Planned. The  other good news is that I have lost
17 pounds to date and still losing. I am trying
To get my health together so I can live longer.

I always wonder what is behind the *bleep* because some crazy words are filtered as bad then they aren't.  You can't even eat graham cr//a/ck//ers without it looking like you say bad words. :D

Happy Birthday!  Looking at my 72nd birthday this year, my advice to you is to enjoy every second possible and don't worry about it.  Sometimes the second part of your life can be the most rewarding.

:) Will turn 68 this year. When I retired, I got on an exercise program and lost some 20+ pounds. Feel great and enjoying being retired.

Happy Birthday to you!!!!  Getting older is just a NUMBER - you are as old as you feel but, I do agree that changing some of the maybe not so good habits we have learned over the years will make a big difference in the later years.  So, bravo to you on your weight loss and continuing and just remember - you are as old as you feel!!!!!

Congratulations, for the health focus as well as your birthday!  Exercise and eating healthy will help you enjoy your later years--it is never too late to start.

Happy Birthday and best of luck with your health and weight loss efforts.  I am 60 this year (can't believe it) and overweight so I am trying to get in better shape as well and am going to start a silver sneakers exercise class on Monday at the YMCA.   :clover:

Young people do not waste the valuable time of your youth...because you only live once!

Life is very precious.  Its good to do everything you can to stay healthy.  But don't obsess over it. That's a waste of life.

I don't know what the deal is but turning fifty had me feeling more fragile and seeing mortality in a whole new light. Food doesn't taste as good if I'm hungry at all. Every bump or scrape causes a little more concern than it used to.  Work and making money has taken a much larger focus. Finding time to sleep when not working is another priority. trying to figure out new ways to pay for the kid's expenditures is another constant, and nagging, thought. Keeping one's job is more of a worry because it is harder to get a job when one is older.  I feel as if I have a diminished mind capacity. Wow...I guess this isn't the feel good post of the day! LOL
