Would you ever spy on your children? why or why not?

it would depend....we are responsible for them until they turn 21,legally, and we are morally responsible until we're dead.

I think to nurture trust in a family a bit of anonymity is needed instead of interferring too much in other people's lives. With my daughter, I tried to foster certain principles as she grew up and I periodically threw cues to ask her opinion to get feedback how she sees things. I think there is certain value in things like those Nanny programs, but I don't foresee using this myself as I trust my daughter.

Ha! My kids are only 7 & 8! I hope I don't need to do that just yet!!! Lol

Depends what your definition of spy is. I always know where they are and what they are doing but I tell them that. I also look at their facebook and instagram accounts but they know it. I am not trying to deceive them, I am trying to help them make good choices.

I don't have any but if I did I certainly would. If they are minors and they are living under my roof I need to know everything going on especially if I think they aren't doing right.

I would NEVER spy on my children. As a parent, it's MY RESPONSIBILITY to KNOW my child. It's much easier to be open with your kids and let them know right off the bat what YOU expect of THEM. Spying on your own kids will only lead to DISTRUST and will cause more problems than you thought you ever had to begin with.

I don't have children but that's definitely going to make them more sneaky if they find out. it's better to trust that you raised them well enough to make the right choices.

Depends on the situation.
