From what I understand, members with dial up can't do offers and surveys cause they look fraudulant.
but.
I've been doing this for a few months with no problems and have been getting paid.
Whats the deal?
What I'm worrried about is.... I'm getting a new dial up ISP on thursday and I'm thinking that's really gonna look like im fradulant.
Will this be a problem?
dial up is all that's available in my area.
-
No this should not be a problem... I don't know where that came up from it had to have been a myth. But, anyways no it does not matter if you are using dial up or any other kind of internet.
Happy Money Making!!! :)

I say this because, I believe when you use dial up, you have a different ip address each time.. i think.
Right now, if you lookup my ip address it will show a location in another state from which i dont live in. it's AOL address.
So when i get my new internet service provider, i bet it's going to be a new IP address and show THEIR location.
this sucks!
can a moderator or FC person let me know or tell me something. I have $80 this month from referrals alone, I'd sure hate to not get all my money, ya know!?

People use dial-up, and switch ISPs, all the time. It's not a problem. We are reasonable people -- really :)
-
That seems reasonable and once again i didnt know that i also didnt know people still used dial up any more.. well go figure
:bootyshake:

People have no choice but to use dial up if you're in a certain rural area.

I have dial-up :( No choice here either.

Ok not to be rude where are you all from i'm from New York i didnt figure anyone actually used dial up anymore ... i knew some areas dont have dial up but then there's cable and direct tv and other services? :angel12:
-
That is correct about dial up and rural areas. I'm from NY as well and thought the same thing, however, when I moved to a rural area in Florida and was told that the only service I could use was dial up I thought they were joking so I proceded to call every provider in the directory and sure enough it was true for the area I was located.
-
damn 4 real?.. go figure
-
I have dial-up, too. I don't have a choice, either and we don't get cable TV out here. I've lived out here all my life, so I'm used to it.
I live in a little bitty town in Texas. :D
-
Yeah. I live in Tennesse. I have dial-up. No choice here either. We can't get cable or nothing. I have Satellite TV. They say I could get satellite internet but that would cost way more than I could afford.
-
wow i'm dumbfounded... how is it that third world countries have dsl and right here in the US some people cant get DSL..
hmm..
-
Yeah, if we wanted cable we'd have to get satellite, too.
-
ok so you dont have direct tv or cable either? umm so what do you'll do? just local channels?.. ok that's frightening....hmmm..
-
Yeah. It sucks.
-
I don't think it's so bad, but like I said, I'm used to it. lol
My sisters have cable, and they only live about 15-20 minutes away.
-
Yeah but judt the idea of no direct tv... no DSL.. you have a cell phone thou right?...ok i'm going to take my jaw off the ground and i guess you have more time for nature or something.. i'm not knocking anyone i have alwasy been a city girl i think PA is country so i could just imagine.. the simple life huh? ok dont seem too bad..

I can understand where you're coming from. :p
-
I live in Louisiana.
I'm about 45 minutes outside of 2 major cities. The funny thing is..I have a friend RIGHT down the street about half a mile from me, and they now have DSL available to their area but not my area which is a half a mile up the street. It's weird.
We used satellite for our t.v. service
-
You have dial up? Lucky duck, we're still using two tin cans and a string out here in the boonies! ;D
-
I just wanted to post because I never have. so I can say something here. We live in a rural area. We do have cable and it is digital, but no internet. even verizon does not offer it here. supposed to be here with the cable company within a few months, but I'll believe it when i see it.
-
i mean you all must understand .. i'm from new york.. no DSL thats like saying there's no water or electricity.... just seem strange to me thats all as i said before i in no way mean to offend anyone this is not my intention at all.. i was just not as aware as i should have been
-
We have satellite internet service. It is either that or dial up since I live in a rural area.
