Do you want to continue your education? Or are you done with school. I have graduated
from college years ago and then years later had to start my career over after losing a job.
I attended school after losing my job and now I am done.
I do not have the energy to go back to school to learn anything else.
I will use the online programs if my interest is peaked to learn
Something else.
What about you?

More education, more money in your pocket

Believing that you are never too old to learn something new, I have gone to school online at Ashford University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minor degree in Information Systems. I would like to go back and earn my Master's degree in Accounting, but money is a big problem right now. I am looking into options to earn a scholarship or two.

I want to go back to college, but I will be changing my degree, I was going to college for nursing, when I had my son he was in the NICU for 40 days and is special needs, after that I decided nursing just wasn't for me (even though everyone says its good to be on both sides the nurse and a parent of a disabled child) but now I have a passion helping adults that have behavioral or mental problems, so that's what I want to go back to school for.

Im graduating from college soon and i plan on continuing to university, long road ahead but better now then never
-
No, I do not want to continue my education. I already went to college, and graduated.
-
I would love to get my CCMA and hopefully get a job in a doctors office.....
-
I always doing a certificate and not free
-
I agree you are never too old to learn, but at 75 I think my day for formal education is over.
-
I have a Bachelor's degree and am definitely planning on continuing my education.

I would love to continue my education. Right now I'm currently taking free online courses. I'm doing this to learn, but to also find out what I'm actually good at. There are tons of subjects I'm interested in; however, there's not many I'm good at. I don't want to spend tens of thousands of dollars only to fail.
-
you've got to keep learning ...formal or otherwise on the job...self taught...online whatever or get towed under...you may not think you are getting an education but you sure are learning all the time.
-
YES! I graduated with an associate's degree in Political Science, something I decided I no longer wished to pursue. Then I decided to go back to school and study Criminal Justice, which I know I want to pursue a career in. However, I got married and got a full time job and had to leave, which means I paid a ton of money to never even obtain my bachelor's degree. So me and my husband have discussed the pros and cons, and decided we should both go back to online school and finish our degrees. I always loved being in a classroom and learning new things, so I'm bit sad that with my job I won't be able to go a physical school, but online schooling still sounds pretty cool!

I have a Masters degree and I'm 58. I think I'm done w/ school. I'm looking forward to retirement.

Education does not guarantee your income and social status any more in most societies. I have seen less educated people being millionaires...while some PhD's are simply broke and homeless. Your time in this life is limited and very valuable. It is never too late to learn new things. Intelligent people are in the leaning mode most of their time because it is to their advantage. You will learn how to survive thru difficult times.

Other than getting some social experience my education which is obsolete now was pretty much a waste of money, and I graduated in 1986 and I'm still paying my student loan lol :o ;D 8)
-
I graduated with 2 degrees from the university, then about a decade later I went back for a 3rd degree in the field I was working (as our contract at the time was in danger of not being renewed, so I needed the degree in case I needed to get a job as I didn't have the years of experience at the time).
Now, I'm considering maybe going back for an Accounting degree, but probably I'd study for certifications instead of degrees (like Microsoft or Oracle certifications) - those will probably be more valuable to me presently.
-
I would like to do if I have enough funds, just like to get new degree maybe to have better opportunity.
-
No, I don't want to continue my education. Thank You!
-
I don't have the money to. If I did sure. I have a degree but honestly I feel like I don't have any real skills so if I had the money I'd go back to school for a different career that would make me more money than I'm making now.
-
I would love to go back to school if I didn't have money making as my main priority! I am up at a quarter past four in the morning and get to bed a tad after eleven every night. I made it a priority to get anywhere from twenty four minutes to forty six minutes of workout in every morning so sleep time suffers as a result of wanting to be more physically healthy...how wacked is that! Saturdays and Sundays are a little better because it is rare that I will work more than twelve hours on those two days. I'm so busy that I have to take eight hours worth of continuing education (for my second job) while I am at my first job!
-
I wish I could but don't have the time or the energy left.
-
I don't know. It would be nice to know more about my career, but I don't know if it would be really worth it. I would love learning more about some other things, but I don't know if I'd go back for what I studied.
-
I'll be learning as long as I'm alive. I'm always trying to stuff more knowledge into my head. :glasses-nerdy:

I would like to go back to college, but I would like for my daughter to get her degree first.

I enjoy learning, I would love to go back to school sometime and finish my degree that I started 10 years ago. Man, where has the time gone...

I completed my schooling at Ashford University in January 2014 and was worried about the money I already owe to the school. I have gotten e-mails from the school offering me a chance to acquire my Master's degree (I was an undergraduate and, at the time I completed, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minor degree in Information Systems). I explained that to the lady who sent me the e-mail, and she tells me I am eligible for additional grant and loan money because I am now a graduate. I asked her how long the courses are and she told me 15 months to 2 years. I am considering going for my Master's degree. To oldbuddy, I don't think 75 is too old to go back to school, when I have heard of a woman who earned her degree at 81 years old. That is the dedication and perseverance that makes the champions of the world.    :rainbow:

I never want to stop learning.
-
If I have it within my budget I would definitely go back. But I have no clue what I will be interested at this point of my life as far as a major. But I do like to start something new and exciting.
-
I still have a few years of college left. I'm mentally done with school but have to continue hm
-
I was glad when I graduated from high school and was finished with school. I had no desire to go to college and many years later I still don't have the desire to continue my education.
-
I do want to go back to school. There is always something that we can learn and it's worth it in the long run. I'm starting a new job and I know that I can move up the ladder if I have more education, so it's what I have to do.
-
I'd like to further my education, but I don't want to have to take a bunch of stuff that I'm not only not good at but not interested in learning more about. Stuff like that can really ruin a persons chances of graduating, depending. I've found there are a lot of ways to learn more about stuff that interests you without having to go to a university, especially since there are classes made available free online by, for example, MIT so there's not really any pressure on you. However, you can't really obtain a degree by just doing a bunch of your own research into things online. :confused1:
-
I will continue my education but I'm not sure if I want to. I want to take a gap year but I probably won't.
-
I've got a Bachelors and a Masters degree and I'm disabled and cannot do anything to utilize them except FusionCash... oh well, I'll always have them no matter what...
-
Id love to get another degree but just dont know what in.
-
Sometime ago I wanted to further myself and complete my courses to get my BA, but not so enthused anymore. I don't need a lot of credits, but the cost is prohibitive.
-
I probably should go back to college to get my degree. I 'm about 6 courses shy of getting my AA. But I don't feel like it's something I need to do.
-
Yes, I do. I graduated last year in May with an Associate's degree in Communication Graphics. I plan to go back to school this fall to get my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.

I have a bachelor's degree and in the future I would love to get my masters and my Ph.D
