What does everyone like to cook on these cold rainy/snowy days? I love to be in the kitchen cooking on days like this my favorite things to bake are cookies, but when the weather is cold it's home-made cinnamon rolls and chilli! :)

I don't like to cook, I like to eat.

I love to make homemade soup

I do not like to cook. No mouth burning for me! I prefer to eat cold meals!

I cooked homemade chicken soup or vegetable soup.

I'm a microwave chef 8) Also like cold pizza because you don't have to cook it

I find it therapeutic to cook, so I fix breakfast, lunch and dinner. It really does not matter what I cook, but if there are leftovers, I don't want to do it and there is food in there already prepared.   :rainbow:

On cold rainy snowy days I like to cook a nice Yankee pot roast in a big Le Creuset casserole pot smothered in celery, potatoes, carrots and peas and served with nice hot rolls on the side. Or sometimes a nice big pot of chili like you make.
:silly:

I just like to cook. My most favorite thing to make is garlic knots. It takes a long time, but they are so good. Now if I had to cook for myself I probably would not go through the trouble.

I wish I liked to cook but I don't. I guess cause I'm not very good at it. At least that is what my son says! He likes nothing.

i don't think you should give up on cooking it dose takes practice to get things right (except somethings like im terrible at cooking hole meats usually i chop it up and it cooks fine & mom she somehow burns jello ??? i know wierd but true) & as for your son heres some Q&As.
has he eaten someone elses cooking?
if he has then ask on how to make it then practice.
O & get a 2nd and/or 3rd opinion.
if he still then i would just tell him that he isn't moving from that spot till at lest 1/2 is gone (no TV, no games, and just sit & read a book while keeping a eye every min) im sort of southern in away :cat:

I have been making a lot of soups these days. Hot soup with crusty bread is always welcome in my household.

Anything that is fast, I don't really like to cook anymore now that I have to
-
When it gets cold, I usually make chili, because it makes my husband happy.

:cat: Well, since I have gotten older and especially since my hubby and cooking partner passed away - the long and short of it is that I don't care about cooking or much about eating. Also I live in florida so we don't get that many days to cook cold weather food. Hubby and I used to like to cook chili together on cold days. Anyway, everyone who is in cold country, make some chili and stay warm.

Sorry for your loss, deb. I'm in same boat, learning to cook or not cook for 1 is a challenge. I tend to eat the same things for a while and then switch to a different thing for a while. Right now, I'm on BBQ sandwiches and french fries. I like a BBQ made by Brookside Farms.

Grits and eggs, quickest thing on the market for me...I don't like cooking like I use to when my children were growing up...so I have a quick meal and call it a day....morning and evening....

On a cold rainy day I like to cook chili or some type of soup. My favorite soup to make is Brunswick stew.

Today, I have cooked the most tasty jumbalaya! It's quite a long dish to cook but that's mostly because of the preparation of cutting up veggies etc. I just love the peppers, onions, celery, shrimps, Andouille sausage plus rice and tomatoes. It has a bit of a kick to it but it is so tasty and filling. I cook an extra large batch so that my husband can take some to work to eat on his night shift.

I am not a huge fan of cooking, thankfully my boyfriend loves it and is very good at it so I let him do all the cooking its very rare to see me in the kitchen!
