Which of these environments do you live in, or which one are you more comfortable with?
-
I prefer the country life. But we are living in a small town and it is not so bad. Nothing like living in the big cities. Yeah we have to drive 80 miles 1 way to do a lot of our shopping and taking dad to the doctors. But hey we make it a nice day. Save a lot of money on top of it.

i love the city i couldn't live in the country there not much to do in the country
-
City life hands down.
-
I think I have the best of both worlds. I live in the suburbs. I have deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, chipmunks, etc in my yard. No city noise, pretty quiet. Get in the car and about 15 minutes we are in the city, restaurants, plays, movies, nightlife, etc. Love it here!
-
There's no place like the country. I couldn't live anywhere else. I like the quiet, peace and beauty of the country.
-
I'm a country girl all the way!!!!wouldn't have it any other way!!! :rainbow:

I love living in the city for the most part, but the late night noise and sirens can be annoying at times, but there is almost always something to do, and the fact that public transportation is always accessible is nice when you don't want to drive, and lots of places to shop!

Green Acres is the place for me. I love the country life. Less noise and more natural beauty to look at. I am happiest outdoors with the wildlife. Happy Easter and maybe you will see a bunny!

I am a urban lady. I wanted to live in the country or the mountains would be gr8.
-
City life. I do not cope well without civilization.
-
I live in the country, and have gotten accustomed to it. It is a mostly quiet atmosphere. Living in the city I enjoyed too until I discovered how noisy it is. I have managed to close out the noises I hear from day to day.   :rainbow:

I wouldn't trade the country for anything. It means a lot more freedom.
I grew up in a small town (6800) people, but the town council keeps putting more and more rules and regulations on the people of the town. If we can no longer keep up with our property, we might have to move into town, or worse yet, if anything happens to my hubby, I know I can't keep up with the property and I would have to go to a Senior Hi-Rise and put up with both county and local rules. I never want to see that day come to pass.

I actually enjoy country life better than city life. Im not saying it is easier but it is usually an easier attitude.
-
city but live in country
-
we just moved to the country about 5 months ago and i love it..have been in the city all my life.and i have been married for 37 years and we were in the city..country is so much better and quieter..less stress and hassle...so peaceful..do not miss the city at all

Country life for me - call it luck or the lack of thereof but we always managed to get a crazy or mean neighbor anytime we
lived in the city - personally I like not having any close neighbors, like the peace and quiet oh yea country life is the life for me. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
-
I live in the city but I would like to try the country out. Do not think I will though.
-
I like country life but few work opportunity.
-
I live in the suburbs but I prefer the country, the city is way to busy and to many people. The town I live in only has 16,000 people.
-
I live in the city but I would take country life in a heart beat! Give me Horses to ride, cows and goats to milk, chickens for fresh eggs and none of the smog, and such that fills the air and I'm happy. Out in the country you can see the stars at night and hear a babbling creek or whatever.
-
live in country but within 15 minutes of large city so close to both.
-
:rainbow: I've always lived in cities, but I have always wanted a country life. I hope it happens!
-
I live in the city but I always wanted to live in the country away from to many people.

I'm 40 and the majority of my life has been spent living in the country. I come from a country family and really only spent about 4-5 years of my life living in the city. For the past 32 I've lived in a rural area. I can't get cell phone reception at my house at all. I have to drive about 3-4 miles to get that to pick up. Unless I am working, going to the nearest town every day isn't an option.
I think there are good things and bad things to living out this far.
I love that I'm so far away from the busy town life and it's peaceful and quiet here. I don't have to worry about my dogs or cats getting out of the house and getting hit by a car. If I'm feeling poorly I can walk around all day in my bathrobe because no one will see me. I don't hear the honking, buzzing, whirring and all the other sounds of town life. It's slower and more relaxing out here. My yearly property taxes aren't as expensive as they are in town and that's a blessing.
On the other hand, it's lonely out here. It's just me and my elderly mother and can get a little lonely sometimes. We're far away from help if something bad happens. Our house caught fire 2 years ago and the fire was already too far out of control by time the volunteer fire crews assembled and arrived and they had to just let it burn and try to keep the fire from spreading to the woods. Getting police assistance from town, where the county sheriff is located, can lead to some tense minutes that feel like hours. For safety's sake, it sure is nice to live in town. And being able to get a pizza delivered is a nice perk, too. ;)

for me it would be both i grew up in Los Alamos, NM if i describe it would be like a large scale suburb (well way back then & a few years after i left NM i heard that a big fire broke out destroying almost the entire town) but there is (or was) free camping groungs & a sizeable but small community. :cat:

I'm a country girl at heart and I'm happy to be far away from the hustle and bustle.
-
City life - I like to be around people - it's comforting to know there are folks near by if you need them.
-
I prefer city life because I like communicating with my neighbors it helps a day go by quicker. Plus my neighbors are so nice because we swipe vegetables from each others gardens and flower also the ones we can multiply. I love sharing what God has given us with people around me.

I prefer the country life :rainbow:

country life closer to the city
-
Which of these environments do you live in, or which one are you more comfortable with?
I don't think I would enjoy spending all of my time in either one.I live in the suburbs of a medium sized city and that is just right for me.Not too crowded or too remote.
-
I'm in the burbs - a tweener I need to travel to go to a city or to really reach the country.
-
country life i love it better
-
City!!! I live in Chicago and I couldn't imagine my life in the country!!! lol
-
I like the country, but like to be close enough to go shopping, but far enough out no one bothers me.
-
I'm currently living in the city and i like it
-
I was born in city life and probably will stay this way for a while until potentially retirement. I like to periodically go out to the country for vacation, but that's it.
-
I live out in the country. I like it a lot better than in the city. I have lived in both and I just prefer to live in the rural area's than the city and I am so glad its a distance from my parents my step dad made me so angry. The want me to move into the small town we are in and live next door to them but after yesterday they can forget that because I am not putting up with that everyday again. I tried to live close to them to help them out but it just didn't work.
-
I prefer living in the city to the country. There's just more to do. Everything is too far away in the country, though I guess that's the point of living there.
-
City life for me, while I occasionally complain about the noise and rising crime rates, I wouldn't have it any other way.
-
I live in the country. It is more slow paced and I don't have to deal with noise factors or issues such as crime. Nice and quiet and usually the people are so responsible and the drivers too. Life on the country side is my preference!
-
City life for me. I don't think I could handle country life away from everything. I am so used to having shops and everything I need right here within walking distance. Besides for how hard farm life itself is, I am so used to crowds of people and the way people do business in the city that I could never adjust. I'd stick out like Eva Gabor on Green Acres looking for the nearest shopping plaza.
-
Have lived in the city my entire life. It's just so convenient but I think I need to move to a suburban area. I want a mix of the two.
-
I live in the country in a small town. It's quiet and peaceful. But sometimes I wished I lived closer to the city where there are more things to do, better shopping and more eating out options.
-
:)I live in a town. I don't think I could live in a place bigger than this is. I have a good size yard and only on neighbor"s house so close to mine that it makes me feel like I live in an apartment complex. Other than that, I like my space. I would take living in the country over living in the city.
-
I have lived in the city my whole life. I cant see the need to live in the country. I like seeing people everyday
-
I live in the City. As a child I was raised in the country. Living in the city is definitely my preference, I love the convenience it offers. The country is nice but I would feel isolated living there and it would be difficult to do some of the things I enjoy doing.
-
I currently
Live in
The country but
Would rather live in the city!
-
I grew up in Houston...moved to LA and then Anchorage and now southern oregon. I am simplifying my life as i grow older. I've done the big city thing...after 9/11 i left LA for Alaska and now live in a pretty country home on an acre and i love it. I garden and care for pets. Life is good and I don't spend my life away in traffic and stress.
-
country life is the best
-
I was born and raised in the country, had plenty to do and ate very healthy, got a lot of exercise and was able to save money.
Now after twenty years of living in the city, I could only imagine if what my life would be like if I had stayed on the farm. I am not complaining about living in the city I like it here but I think life is good when you can be one with nature.
-
I live in and prefer the country life, sure it can get a little boring at times but there is less crime, less traffic and less pollution. I can always go visit the city if I want.
-
Niether really i don't live in either country or city. More like a small town but far from country
