I use AVAST! now and have been using it for quite a few years.  It's FREE, it WORKS, and it's NOT a resource hog.  Why fix something if it ain't broke?

I'd also recommend Malwarebytes - they have a one-time lifetime fee for their service (about $25) and I've found their product to be much better than the resource hog McAfee.

Malwarebytes has a free version where you can run manual scans, the paid version does real-time protection like the other "big boys".

I think Avast! is the best.  I've tried several and it's the only one that has completely blocked all viruses, not just found them once they were already on my computer.

AVAST is my pick for the best antivirus product for real time protection. Superanitvirus is likely the best for a weekly run to clean up 'iffy' things that get put on your system with out being caught by antivirus programs. Malwarebytes is an essential product for anyone serious about security. I needs to be run weekly and there is NO other program out there that will do the job this will.

ALL of these products are FREE and very easy to use. CNET is a great download site as it is always clean of nasties. The only caution I will mention is that whenever you open up a download to install it, look for 'garbage' programs like ASK that wants to be run along with the program you really want, you need to opt out of those type of things before you click to install.

I agree that avast! is the best. I have been using it for a year now...and I like it so far. The good part about it is that it is free and protects your computer from viruses.

I use advance system care..

Advance system care is not an antivirus, it's a system cleaner (like Glary Utilies and CCleaner). Even the Iobit Malware fighter is not an antivirus, it's a anti malware.. BTW using keygen license is illegal since your getting their pro edition for free.... When the program updates, it will detect if your using a generated key at one point. If companies start crack down on users using keygens, they can sue you for software piracy. Considering how NSA, government, websites, and companies can easily track your location (without vpn) I suggest you stop using keygen license. Even if you never generated the keys, using them is still equally bad

It's the same as torrenting music/movies/programs.

I used Avast as my antivirus program... Malwarebyte and Emsisoft anti malware as my complimentary security program... Never had a problem with it so I just stay with them...

If your looking for a free antivirus other than Avast: AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essential, orPanda Cloud Secuirty

If your looking for paid Antivirus: Bitdefender or Kaspersky

I use norton but I usually find for way cheaper than the advertised price. Paid $14 for one year for 3 computers when I bought it on ebay and it came with online file backup. It's not free but it's not so high if you find it in the right place.

We have Norton but I will have my husband check into AVAST because we need something good to keep up with all the viruses out there.

I am also using Avast for me I think its a good Anti-Virus program, It warns you more about sites then AVG and with constant updates on the Virus Data Base I think its a good find for a free Anti-Virus Program.

Can't go wrong with good 'ol Norton. I also use Malwarebytes, but the Norton does most of the work.
