I would like to see it and it seems like it will be a great story.........but I like to wait awhile for the crowds to die down a tad at the theaters......maybe in a few weeks.

The Harry Potter series just reminds me of like, a Star Trek series, and that's just so boring to me. Harry Potter is laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame!

lol nothing remotely like star trek  ::) everyone has there opinion though. I think its very imaginative.

Don't blame you for wanting to wait til the crowds die down for sure. It can get anoying tryin to watch movies with a million people talking and crunching popcorn

i absolutely, 100% agree!
you're a smart cookie, mc1962 ;p i hate going to see movies when they first open. sitting in an theater full of giggly teenagers who won't shut up isn't my cup of tea, at all. lol.

but yes, i'm pretty much dying to see the new movie! i've seen the others and i've read all of the books<3. i'm not sure if i'll be able to talk anyone into seeing it with me, though, and i'm not the type of person to go to the movies by herself.. we'll just have to see, i guess.
 :dontknow:

I don't know about you guys but I think the books are much better than the movies. But I think that applies to all book-based movies.

I think one misconception is that they are only kids stories. I seem to find more adults that are more into them.

I agree most times the books are better but I spose if they tried to fit everything from the book into the film we'd be there for days lol.

I think its more enjoyable if you read the book first but since you played the game that helps too.

I like Harry Potter. Never read the books though (don't have time), but I make a effort to watch the movie when ever it comes out.

When it first came out I wasn't crazy about it, till I actually watched it.

I started reading the harry potter books when I was in 3rd grade, and at that point I think there were 3 or 4 out.
I've seen every movie at midnight that I could (except this most recent one) and I have a costume.
I used to be completely OBSESSED with the fandom, but I think it's kinda dying for me.. :(

They do leave some parts out I wouldn't say any of it are really big plot points though. It would have been nice to see some of it but Really they are around 3 hrs as it is.

I'd say the 4th film is one of my favorites because the competitions were really great scenes and its the climax of the whole story with Voldemort.

They should release the entire version to be bought online. I wouldn't mind watching a 9 hour movie

they wouldnt make much off of it. cracked and pirated versions will be out in a few hours if they do release it. they would have to put effort into something that wouldnt yield much payout.

Have you all heard the last one will be 2 movies instead of one?

I am not into Harry Potter too much. The Half Blood Prince was okay for the most part, but the movie was extremely long and dragged a little.  I think the movie was better when they were a little younger.  I prefer the book over the movies. My son loved it though, and that was all that matters.

I love the books and for the most part like the movies, but I have not seen the new one.  I have to admit that I have to see the movies when they release around the holidays, because the movie just reminds me of winter and the holidays - sitting in the theater in the summer is just wrong when thinking Harry Potter.

I watched Harry Potter and the half-blood prince last week. I liked it alot. Although I did not go to theaters to see it and the movie site I watched it on got bad reviews for the movie. Alot of viewers said it didnt go along with the book. I never read the books to any of the Harry Potter movies. But I enjoy the movies lots of action and mystery involved.

For those who haven't seen the movie yet, I would highly recommend seeing it in a true IMAX theatre. The opening sequence (about 10 minutes or so) were made into 3D... and it was absolutely amazing. I'm not a big Harry Potter fan, but my husband is, so we went together and I was like  :o

((By true IMAX theatre, I'm not talking about the regular theatres that have a room set aside for IMAX... I'm talking about the monstrous ones like at the Virginia Air and Space Center that are like three stories tall.))

oy. i finnnally saw the new movie a couple of days ago.
and as expected, i wasn't disappointed ;p although there were a few things missing for me. then again, you can't expect them to cram every single book detail into a movie like that.

I just recently got into it a year ago and read all of the books over the course of a year, watching each corresponding movie after I was finished. I almost liked that better because then I didn't have to wait for the books or movies (except for the last movie(s), that is). I saw the latest movie and I thought comically it was very good. I also liked all the love connections (Ginny/Harry, Ron/Lavender/Hermione), but I think it's one of the weaker movies they've made overall. I bet the last two will be amazing though!

Actually, the next movie is not going to be the last. The producers said that with previous books, they could omit things (shortening the length of the movie) without destroying the story. However, the last book is pure storyline... so they're not going to miss a single detail.

In short, the final Harry Potter book will span two movies (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23600320/).

I think they're fun stories and I've liked the movies.  This last movie wasn't as good as the others, though.  I have heard that yoou had to read the book to understand the movie, but what about those of us who don't REALLY want to read the book?  I get into other types of books-I'll get to these one day, but I think it was a bad move on the producers' parts to make this movie so it really only makes sense to some people.  It's turning itno a cult sort of thing and that's beyond just fun.

I prefer it to twilight. Although I also like twilight, but the movie just was a tad too cheesy for me.
