It's not necessary, just don't come back.

Once you delete your account you won't be able to create another one. If you think you might want to use the site later just leave it alone for awhile and come back later

Sorry to hear that but go end of page click terms of service and about 1/3 of the page you'll see (C. Cancellation/Deletion).
