How have you tried to save money?  Do you use coupons?

I am a coupon fanatic!!!  I try to save money everytime I shop and it drives my husband crazy.  I don't pay full price for anything and CLEARANCE is my favorite word!!  I call it Frugal, he calls it cheap, but it's almost a game to me.  I love Ebay... I'm sort of addicted to it.  I look for what is a real deal even with shipping and I refuse to bid over what I think fair value is.  Some pay outrageous prices for stuff, but that's just me.  We've cut out disposable diapers and I use cloth, which you can find new cloth diapers with low starting bids and get great deals on them through Ebay.  And we have lady here in the St. Louis area that has a blog called stlmommy.com and she posts daily deals, restaurant coupons and links to samples all the time.  It's great.  I love saving money... it's a game to me I think!!  What a nerd... I know!!   ;D

When I lived in Mississippi before (hurricane Katrina) I used to match coupons to the sales at stores that doubled and tripled coupons. Allot of things I got for free (only paying the tax on it) or more then free! There is a store called Fred's that used to double coupons up to a $1 on saturday only. When the Disney cereals first came out they put them on sale for $1.99 a box!! :o I had a $1 off coupon LOL ! So I stocked up on my son's favorite cereal :

I also had $1 off coupons for Brach's candy and Fred's had most of the bags for $1 so they actually PAID me to take home the candy. I always made sure to buy a few things that I wasn't getting for free so that they didn't catch on to my little loop holes LOL!

I try to save money every week but I am a horror movie fanatic and have to buy dvds all the time!  Hopefully I can cash out soon and save money that way.

I just don't buy things.  I also hate shopping for food and will spend minimal amount, so calculating price per ounce is quite handy....  But then again when buying some things quality and duration of life will cost less in the long run than some cheesy cheap item.

CVS has a great coupons with their extra care program. I think the week before last I spent nearly $33.00 and after all my coupons I only paid $11.99. I love earning the extra bucks on items I already need so it works out for me.

Using coupons at the store is one of the biggest ways to save money.  If you know how to work the deals combining sales/promotions/coupons etc. you can really make out very well. I never understand why people do not want to use coupons or get annoyed with others that do?  I guess some people are made of money?  Sometimes the deals are so good, that I have gotten up to 90% off large orders of food just by clipping sunday supplement coupons, internet coupons and combining with store sales and promotions.  It is so simple to do!

It is simple lol ! But still some people still do not get it. The BEST deal I came across was a few years back when the Electrasol 2in1 Gel Packs came out. I had some buy one get one free coupons and Winn-Dixie had them buy one get one LOL!!!! So I tried to explain to my then husband that I would only be paying the tax on them. He didn't get it. Since Winn-Dixie has a card that you must have in order to get the sale price I was able to have them ring up all 6 boxes making 3 of them free. I then gave them 3 coupons each for buy one get one free. Needless to say I didn't need dishwasher detergent for quite a long time.
