Most people tend to do something without thinking about the consequences first. It is a part of life, but how about you? Do you tend to following what your heart says at the spur of the moment, or will you actually think before you act?
-
Depends on the situation for me. But I do tend to think before.
-
Yes, I do think about stuff before I act.
-
Sure I think, but I don't always make the right decisions.
-
I sure do think before I act, but its hard to make the right decision all the time. Especially when it involve with love ones.
-
You always need to think before acting because if not, you will find yourself in situations that you may regret.
-
Most of the time. I have been pushed past the limit and just reacted before. I think every one has.

I tend to over complicate things so i tend to belive i think while i am acting. I can think about something but not make the right decision or i can think about something and make the right decision. Sometimes thinking is not the only thing to do before you act.. You could consider a list of things.. Like thinking how you and others would feel based apon the decision gathering knowledge before making the decision considering the outcome and the consequences and always put yourself into the shoes of the other person or put yourself into the scenario persay before you make the decision.. There is alot to think about before making decisions. The decision process doesn't always come easy and can be over complicated..

Although I think, I am one of those people who react after holding things in for a while. It is not good that I do that, because I say things I regret later. But I try to be understanding; it only lasts so long.   :rainbow: :rose:

The older I get the better I'm getting at thinking before reacting. Although there are many a times I think I end up putting my own pride, thoughts and person as a whole on the back burner to avoid disrupting an issue more so. With 2 teens (one with an eating disorder) I'm learning to bite my tongue in situations where just a few years ago I'd fly off the handle.

In most cases, yes.

Thinking before you act can save much heartache.1 example might be,why did i try to run that yellow light?
We are all imperfect and if we make an honest mistake shouldnt crush ourselves to oblivion, but being wise and having wise ones around us could make a world of difference someday!!

Depends. I am going over and over again in my mind if I want to make a formal complaint to a company about their manager. If I keep thinking about it I will decide not to. I really should just do it.
On the other hand I have acted in the spur of the moment and paid a price for it later.

I don't always think before I act and I have regrets for rash decisions I have made in my life - at 60 I could let some of those drive me crazy and make me sad but I try not to because you can't go back and change anything just have to keep pressing forward.
-
I'm pretty careful about my actions so would have to say I think first.
-
I would say about 99% percent of the time I think before I react; especially when I am around children.
-
i try to think first, but usually if i'm angry my mouth is running 20 miles an hour faster than my brain lol

I guess it depends on what is happening. If someone asks me for advice, I tend to think before I speak, especially if the subject matter is a little bit delicate. On the other hand, if I saw someone being bullied or saw something so way out of order, I cannot pause even for a moment. I go in like a bull in a china shop throwing my weight around like there is no tomorrow. I once saw a huge truck parked outside a store. It was left with all the children inside (all of whom were under 6) and the engine running, presumably to keep the air conditioning running as it was a hot day. None of the children were strapped in, they were all flinging themselves all over the truck having a good time. There was no adult in the car. I was not amused. I felt that was so wrong that I called the cops straight away and they arrived before the parent had finished shopping for their groceries!

Now that I am a lot older and a little wiser, I can honestly say that I do think before I act these days! :)
-
I think a lot before I act,I have to plan everything in one go or don't do it at all.

Not being mean but I agree. You over complicate things. lol
Basically, I think the question was simple. Do you think before you act? A few years ago I was at work and was doing a demo. I had it all set up and things looked nice. A guy who also worked there standing about 6 or 8 feet from me threw an apple and bounced it thru my display.
First, it scared me because things were slow and no one was around my booth. Second, he messed up the display and crap went all over the floor and every where else. HE just stood there and laughed. I snapped. I went off. I did not "think" before I reacted. I did not think about consequences or anything else. I was mad and I "reacted".
In the same situation - I could have done "nothing". Went home and thought about it - and had a totally different reaction. Or I could have forgot it and never thought about it again.

That is kind of like spanking a kid 3 days after they do something. lol. If you are going to say something about a situation or something someone done to you in my opinion it is better to say it then. Say it while the situation is fresh in every one's mind.

I surely try to think things through before reacting. But there have been times where I have acted on impulse.

Yeah i know i do over complicate everything XD i think that is just part of who i am.. I have always done it.. Even when someone asked me the simplest questions.. I guess the way i was raised has alot to do with it I guess maybe? haaa idk ^_^ but sometimes if i'm tired ill just directly answer.. Sometimes.. not always
