do you think acting in movies is easy money for some actors?
They look so natural. It's amazing.
There is a part on the DVD you can watch to see what goes into the preparation of the particular movie.
I have seen the actors practicing a dance step in preparing for a certain scene.
I remember Sandra Bullock had to shoot an "near drowning" scene and she got quite cold trying to hold on to complete the scene.

Some actors are very great (small handful), while there are others who are just mediocre and ok at best. Then you have those actors who seem to play the same "role" in all their films.

I think it may come natural to some but Im sure they still have to practice and work at it.

I'm a trained set decorator. It truly takes a village to make a film and acting is hard work. They have to take on a character with all the flaws and emotions and it can be quite taxing. There's special training for many roles: accents, languages, stunts, choreography, fighting, horseback riding, etc. Then there could be hours in the make-up chair, the wearing of prosthetics, uncomfortable period costumes, etc. The days are normally 12 - 14 hours long, 5 - 6 days a week for weeks or months of shooting. Many times the weather on a location is not what it appears on screen and they have to wear parkas in the summer or bikinis outdoors in the winter. Then there may be gaps of no work between projects. :notworthy:
If you want to learn about what goes on behind the scenes watch the special features. My favorites include the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Planet of the Apes (Tim Burton) and Avatar. If you're really into it check out not only the features on King Kong, but Peter Jackson's King Kong Production Diary. It's film school in a box, well almost. :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Jennifer Gray was good as baby in dirty dancing. Jennifer Gray had some arkward moments with Patrick Swayzey dancing getting ready for a show at other hotel. Jennifer Gray was good and Patrick swayzey was good in that movie

Actors are overpaid. Acting is not a hard job. I did it in high school and realized that wasn't what I wanted to do with my life, so I stopped doing it. It's fun, but I wouldn't consider it a hard job. I wish our doctors and firefighters/police would get paid as much as actors. They are the ones who deserve it, cause those are hard jobs!

I wouldn't say it's easy money for them. Acting is a very difficult field, and even the most natural actor still has to work at it and many of them often struggle to find work and good parts. The acting world can be very fickle.

Acting is an occupation. It does look so natural, but I know I could not do it unless what was required of me allowed me to speak in my own way. It happened in Chicago. The person asked my opinion on a topic, and I responded inkind.   :rainbow: :rose:
