Post by: aggie49 on June 26, 2014, 01:25:04 pm
the surveys are getting to be so wrong they either don't ask you anything before you are told you don't qualify or they ask your race then they disqualify you to me this is discrimation what do you think

I mean they're looking for certain things so I don't think it's discrimination.  Annoying, yes.  Discrimination, no.

I don't like the ones that ask 30 questions and then insert a message that you don't qualify for the survey...and here all that time I wasted while answering all those questions I thought I was doing the survey.

I haven't taken a survey in such a long time. I'll get started then all of the sudden I'm not what they're looking for. I rarely, if ever, qualify so I just don't bother anymore.

I do not think it is discrimination but many of FC surveys are getting restrictive on the info that people put. I have not qualified for many surveys lately.

Not saying that it is, but it does feel somewhat annoying. For some reason most of the surveys recently seems that way.

i would rather be dq'd right at the beginning rather then wait clear to the end to find out that you dont qualify.

I have noticed that also.  I don't think its' discrimination.  Most of the time I love being disqualified right off the bat like that.  Still get a point and not to much time wasted to get it.  What I hate is taking a survey all the way knowing you earned that money and it not crediting.  This happens to me on surveys that pay 3 dollars or more.

I'd rather be disqualified at the beginning instead after 25 minutes of answering questions.

I agree with tikihut5.  I prefer to be told up front that I do qualify instead of spending 10 -15 mins on one and then do not qualify.

I agree with many of you.  I don't think it's discrimination.... I do also find it annoying though.  You know what else is frustrating.  Some survey sites have profiles to keep up with.  Most of the time these are extensive and time consuming.  I've filled them all out... stayed on top of them and they still send me surveys I get booted.  Based on my profile you wouldn't think they would be sending some of them wasting my time.  Guess it's the nature of the beast.

:) I have just about given up on the surveys. There is very little survey information they want to know on a 67 year old.  :)

Most days I don't even try to qualify for surveys because it is hard for me to qualify.  I hardly ever meet the criteria although a week or two ago I got on a good roll and qualified and finished a couple of surveys.

The Surveys are for certain items or whatever, so they need race, gender, age and things like this because they are put in groups and if that have enough in a particular group they you are disqualified.  Maybe you group was complete so they didn't need your response.

I'm pretty new at this but I think the reason we may be disqualified so quickly is because the quota for those items are full.  At least that's what I like to believe.

different raaced view the world differently, so i don't think its wrong to want a survey that has insight from all races

I see this happening on other survey sites too but I don't think it's discrimination. I think they should be a little more considerate of our time instead of having us to spend 30 minutes for nothing.

I do not feel that it is biased at all.  They do have to cover all demographics for race, region, etc to see a variety or a consensus of opinion.  I do feel for you and know very well what irritating little creatures surveys can be at times, but the payoff is well worth it.  Good luck and keep trying.

I don't think so.  They looking for certain group of people for the surveys, so if they ask and you not fit in the group they will not let you take it.  Keep trying, you will find one. :) I haven't find anything yet but I'll keep trying.

It annoyed me to great ends in Global Test Market back in 4-5 years....Gone through many initial survey disqualification... I don't care that if I am not getting any surveys since they need a certain race, age, education, income, etc but I get so pissed at GTM for not doing a better job filter it out especially when they do a pretty lengthy profiling

When I do surveys, I just plan on getting a penny unless I know it is the ad survey. I think I only ever qualify for maybe 1 out of 15 of everyone I do. :moneymouth: :moneymouth:

I admit it's super frustrating to qualify for surveys. A lot of them will disqualify you. But it's not really discrimination. They have to fill certain quotas for their survey.

I wish they would ask the questions that determine if you can go on or not right at the very beginning.   I hate to think I am doing a survey for several minutes and then get disqualified.   Even though I don't qualify for a lot of the surveys, I start them anyway to get the one cent for trying.

I don't feel like it's discrimination, I mean, they very well could have all the responses from your race already and are looking to get a varied amount of responses from different races.  It's just how research is done.  Even if they were only looking for information from one specific race, I don't see it as discrimination, it's just that is the purpose of their research.  It would be like saying they are discriminating against men when they want to survey women on some specific issues, or even only want moms opinions on something.

I get the messages a lot so I  rarely do surveys on here.  I think it is based on my age, and I find it discriminatory as well. ??? ??? ??? :rainbow: :rose:

i've had dozens and dozens of surveys that disqualify me after only one question, which is  being the are you latino.  admin said on another posting that it was because of other questions you answer but didnt answer about it being a single question.  guess we have to just be happy with what they let us have
