Which one would you rather do? Which is easier for you?
-
I would rather text because I don't like talking on the phone unless it was someone I really want to talk too.
-
I have always been a phone person even tho now im not crazy about cells.
My hands are too big to text!!
-
I'll do both, but if I know that the person is busy and can't talk on the phone then I'll text.
-
love talking on the phone with my loved ones, but not so much people I don't know. In fact I don't even have a texting program. I can text but it cost a lot. Facebook keeps me in contact with friends and family also.
-
I'd rather talk, it's a lot easier and quicker than trying to type on a little keypad. Except at work I text, because I can hide it better. :)
-
Talking on the phone is much easier for me. I do not care for texting. I guess I am old school. Have a great day!
-
I prefer to talk, it seems more personable.
-
Depends on the person. Some people I'd rather talk to.
-
I rather talk on the phone. I don't like texting.
-
talk on the phone i don't like to text takes to long
-
def text! :thumbsup:
-
why text when you can talk, im from the old school Im not much into texting
-
I text more than talk
-
It really boils down to where I'm at. I hate my phone ... for texting it works... it's just got the old fashioned keypad... which is so tedious and annoying. However I'm more likely to get a message out via phone easier than getting a signal for making a call. Now if I'm not home and I'm out and about. I'd rather make a quick call.
-
I most definitely would rather talk on the phone rather than text. I know exactly who I am communicating with by the sound of the voice; anyone could be at the other end of a text.
-
I do both but I prefer texting certain people and I like talking to others. It just depends on who it is on the other end.
-
It really depends on the reason that I need to be in communication with the other person.
I love texting for short messages and reminders.
For conversations, then I prefer the telephone call.
-
In most cases I prefer to just text. It is fast and I am able to focus on other tasks while waiting for the next text. Sometimes a phone call is better because you cannot always detect the exact meaning or feeling with a text. Sometimes it is nice to just hear someone's voice.
-
i would much rather talk on the phone. I enjoy talking to people
However if it is a simple question I will text. plus the fact I don't have an I phone so texting is a bit more time consuming and harder for me :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
-
Depends on my day whether I choose to text someone or talk to them on the phone.
-
I rather text. because some people can stay on the phone talking for hours about nothing or saying the same things they have already said..It's just better to text for me... Even though i do think talking on the phone is a little more personal.. I still think texting is better.. I don't mind the texting...It's fast and easy for me.. but probably because i have a blackberry and have a qwerty keypad and blow through a text faster than a call... Woot
-
I do both ... when I just need an answer to an easy question .. I text
If I'm in the mood to chit chat or it needs to be a long involved conversation ... I call
-
I`d rather text, because of my accent, they understand me better in texting than talking.
-
:) I don't care for texting. I would rather talk to the person. :)
-
It depends; if the conversation is going to take a long time or need further clarification I'd rather talk, but for basic chit chatting with friends I'd much rather text so that I can talk at my convenience.
-
I would rather type than talk.
-
For the most part I'd rather text. I don't particularly like talking on the phone. The only people who call me are people I have no interest in talking to with only a couple of exceptions.
-
I like both. I used to talk on the phone alot but my generation is all about texting. I barely text or talk on the phone. I don't know why I have unlimited talk & text tbh.
-
Talk is better unless you avoiding someone text is simple and safe.. LOl
-
It really depends. My SIL will not answer her phone. You spend all day texting when the conversation could take place in less than 5 minutes. That is irritating. Sometimes texting is better and sometimes it is better just to talk to someone. And like I said on another thread I told a friend about another friend's death via text because she refused to answer her phone. It was not the way she wanted to find out about it but she got what she deserved. Sometimes talking is better.
-
I do not text. my fingers don't work that well!
-
i would much much rather text than talk. that way you can go do what you need to and not have people hanging on your every word. lol :)
-
It is a lot easier if I just call the person I am trying to get a hold it is just a lot faster and to the point texts might take a long time to get an answer on.
-
I HATE TEXTING :bad:
-
I rather talk through a text message
-
My grandson had 2 phones and pretended to be his mother on one of them for three months early this year. I sent him about $10,000 because I thought my daughter needed help. None of it went to her, but went to his heroin habit. I did have him arrested for not returning my car which I had lent him but he was released on probation and I had to take him to where he lives because no one else would do it. He sold my aluminum wheels and racing tires while he had my car and I ended up with dry-rotted tires that I had to replace so, no, I don't like texts. If I sound like a fool, he was very very good with his texts pretending to be his mother but he will never get a cent from me again. I'm still trying to catch up with my taxes.
-
During the day I prefer to text because while I work from home, I use my phone to talk to clients. So texting is easier to have conversations with friends and get some work done at the same time. Plus, I also have my daughter with me during the day so texting is easier to give her attention and keep in touch with someone if they need to talk to me. Otherwise, I have no problem talking on the phone.
-
I'm not a quick texter, so I'll have to say that I would rather phone someone. I get very impatient waiting for an answer texting and I don't like how long it takes me to find the right letters on the keyboard so I get impatient with myself also. Not only do I not text and drive, I don't talk and drive nor dial and drive. I've been driving for nearly 30 years but I still need all my wits about me to keep focused. I've never been stopped by the police for speed, nor anything so I have a pristine driving record and I don't plan to change it. I'm proud of my driving skills and when my kids are old enough, I will teach them to the same standards my mum taught me!
-
If it is going to be short, text. If is going to be long, phone.
-
depends on who it is and where im at. If i'm at work, id rather text. If it's my parents then I would call.
-
It depends on what I have to say and who I want to say it too. A short message is fine to text, better even than a longer conversation. But sometimes I have a longer story to tell, or I haven't spoken to someone for awhile, then it's much better to talk than to try to text that. I think both are great options. It's nice we have them.
-
I love talking on the phone more than texting.
-
I'd rather text.
Sometimes I have a hard time getting off the phone especially from people that love to talk.
As a result, I find that I can end a conversation by text a lot more easier than by trying to end a phone conversation.
That's just me ;)
-
I like texing much better....I have never been a phone person, if I been on the phone 10 minutes that's to long.....
-
Talking does feel more personable, I agree. I'd feel slighted if someone I love only wanted to text me and never speak.
I prefer to talk, it seems more personable.
-
Neither, but if I had to choose it would be the phone.
-
It depends on the person. Family members (a select few) I usually talk on the phone. Love interest, phone and text. Friends, usually text and best friends phone and text.
-
I would rather just pick up the phone and talk. Texting is ok, but I prefer talking.
-
Talk on the phone
-
i rather text than leave a message because i hate machines...and rather call than text a book and get "K" for my time consuming message
-
I would much rather talk on the phone than text.I can talk faster than I can type.
-
I would much rather talk. I don't have a text-friendly phone so it takes me quite a while to send a text especially if it is lengthy. I don't have a text plan on my service so I have to pay extra for each text sent and received.
-
Majority of the time I would rather talk on the phone, but depending on the situation or where I am I may resort to texting.
-
Well it depends. If I have a lot to do, I would rather text so I can get my stuff done, but some times I just need a listening ear!!!
-
Texting. I get anxious talking on the phone.
-
I like texting, but maybe it's because I have Dragon Speak on my phone and don't need to type the messages out on that little keyboard. I just speak the message and it types it for me.
-
Hi,
I would rather talk on the phone. It is less work for me and less accountability with having "written" proof. Although, when it comes to work I would MUCH rather text for those very same reasons.
Sandy

I would rather talk than text anyday, much easier then typing on a little keypad.
-
I do both. However, it really depends on who I am talking to. For the most part, I really prefer to talk on the phone. But, if the person is busy or it's just a short conversation, I will text.
-
I do not text. I tried it one time and did not know how to send it. Why text when talking to someone is so much easier and faster. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

id rather text,,,,,
-
When my mother first learned to text she wouldn't separate her sentences with spaces so all her texts lookedlikethis and I had to figure out what she meant lol

-
It all depends on who I'm talking to because some people like to talk forever. If it's my Mama, Daddy or my 10 year old nephew I'd rather talk than text. If it's friends I like to text because I don't have to worry about running up their minutes.
-
I do not have a mobile device to text anyone so I'll go ahead and talk on the phone instead.
-
I would rather talk on the phone but am starting to text more and more these days.
-
I was more of a phone person when I had something to talk to or about. While my daughter learned to text before I did, I now can text and like it. My husband has a flip phone and cannot text on it. I don't like texting on his phone because it is too complicated. The number on his phone resembles a phone and, in addition, he has a T9 option, where it will try to spell the word you are looking for. I finally figured that part out when I was shown by the salesperson that you can change to letters. ??? ??? ??? :rainbow: :rose:
-
call most definitely
-
talk on the phone is much quicker and easier, once a while I'll do the text
-
i'd rather talk, texting is just extra work imo
-
I'm not a talking on the phone person, texting is better for me it gets to the point and you stop.
-
I like to text, most of the i don't feel like talking. Also some times i only have
something short and sweet to say.
-
I would like to talk and put it on speaker that way my hands are free to do something else like cooking, tidies up the house , doing dishes and etc.
-
Well it looks like I accidently posted this reply from yest in the wrong forum....oops...so here it is in the right forum...
I like to text more than talk on the phone because most days I'm so busy or I'm doing other things and texting makes it easier to multitask. Between homework, cleaning, taking care of kids and pets and all other tasks I do during the day a text message is simple and takes just a few seconds and then I'm hands free.
-
I donor like text. I would rather talk on the phone it s more personable.
-
I mostly text because you can do it while you're doing other things, such as watching tv, making dinner, etc.
-
talk on phone
-
I like to text cause I could do it with multiple people at one time
-
When it comes to communicating with my husband or the very small handful of people in my circle, I don't mind talking but for the most part and because I really do have to get on with life, I'd much rather text.
-
If I live close to the person, I talk face to face.
-
I really do not like texting and I'm not very good at it. Besides I get charged if I have very many texts so I try to keep them at a minimum. I think I'm allowed 50 a month and after that they are 20 cents each. I did have a limit of 10 but it was costing me extra every month as I can't keep people from texting me and then I have to pay for it.
-
Both equally. Also depends on who is calling or texting.
