Title: Do you have a favortie place you like to travel to?

Post by: minervaspirit on July 20, 2014, 10:17:02 pm: Just north of San Francisco is the Point Reyes National Seashore. It is absolutely beautiful with great wooded areas, meadows and mountains. One edge meanders along Tomales Bay, another along the Pacific Ocean. This is my getaway, relax and create place and I wish I was there right now.
If we're talking about out of the U.S.A. I'd have to say Paris.

The Blue Ridge Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway are one of my very favorite places to go. I love the Rocky Mountains too but they are far from me.

So the East Coast is where we travel to. Different state every year. This Year will be Cape Cod and that area :0 Can't wait !!!!

Post by: debidoo on October 10, 2014, 10:44:47 am: No - you know its odd I see places online or on tv and I think wow I would really like to go there and see those sights or I hear about people traveling and I think I would like to do that but in the end I am a homebody and I just want to stay home. I was invited by my sister-in-law to go to Vermont and New York but I just can't make myself go - I think its due to a lot o reasons - chronic daily pain and trouble with mobility mainly.

So I don't have a favorite place and my husband never left where we live now in Missouri and with both of us being disabled and on limited income I don't see us going anywhere unless we get a good chunk of money to go. I know that sounds sad it is.

Now I would like to go see the mountains once a year and I am only 30 mins away from the beach and never go there lol so I don't know if I'll ever do anything but dream about it.

We get these great discount books each summer and save a lot on the tours, water parks and entertainment events such as The Tommy Bartlett Water Show. We look forward to going there every year.

I would like to go back to Hawaii, but would also like to see most of Europe. I would like to immerse myself in parts of Asia. I am sad that the Middle East and Africa have so many problems that I would not feel safe visiting these historical and/or spiritual and gorgeous places. Not that I have the money, but IF...I can dream!

A cruise with my BFF, Trips to Disney with my kids (And with the gals) Wisconsin dells. And I'd have to say the most peaceful I found myself was in Cozumel scuba diving.

My sister-in-law and I have been talking lately about going to Macchu Pichhu in Peru together on a hiking trip. But I also enjoy just short trips to visit my daughters and my in-laws too.
