I`m practicing to couple of weeks since then, I still only can type at least 16WPM. Its kind of hard for me to learn typing.

I used to be really good at typing. I need a new keyboard now it omits letters on me. There is a program online and it is free to test how fast you can type. Type in free software. Sorry I don't remember the name of it.

I can type close to 100 wpm, with accuracy close to 100%.

I have always been fairly good at typing. I'm old enough that I took typing in high school which is surely a big help with the computer keyboard. So many people seem to just pick around on the keyboard.

Some years ago, I could type about 50 WPM, now it's down to about 35.

Last time I was able to type 50 wpm. That was 5 years ago. Now i don't know, haven't take a new typing certificate.

i type 120 words a minute have been doing it for years

I am also old enough to have taken typing in high school and business school. I have a fairly good speed, but nothing like the 100 and 120 listed by a couple of people. I worked as a "secretary" for many years. In the beginning, there was the old manual typewriter. Then I used an electric typewriter. By the end of my career, the computer was coming out and evolving fast. I was so glad to have something to use on which I did not have to make corrections with correction tape or liquid. At times I would have to type documents with numerous copies using carbon paper. It was pure torture making corrections on each of those copies. To bonzie, keep practicing and don't give up. It's just like anything else, when you are learning something new, you have to practice to get good at it.

I am a pretty good typer .. I took keyboarding for 3 years.. I finally feel accomplished in my typing .. I don't have to look at the keys to type i know where the keys are and when i make an error i can erase it without ever looking at my keyboard.. I don't know exactly how fast i can type because some days are better than others... and sometimes i can type pretty fast sometimes i just type nice and slow.. but if i'm rushing to look something up or do something i type pretty darn quick ... Consistancy is the key.. :)

I remember trying to learn to type but could never type without looking at the keys. I have limited dexterity. Manual and electric typewriter were ok for me. computers, word processing programs and computer keyboards have made it much eaiser for me to increase my typing speed and accuracy. Some technology is rreally great! :peace: :rainbow: :rose:

I'm down to 45-50 wpm but I used to be able to type 90+ wpm. I have definitely slowed down

The simple solution to slow typing speeds (although not free) is Dragon Naturally Speaking. When you talk into a microphone it types what you said for you.

I can type 120+ wpm. I kind of zone out. I can type a whole page and not remember a word I've typed. But it is accurate when I read it back. When I have used the public computer at the library I have actually had a group of people standing behind me watching because they could not believe that I was really typing a document, thought I was just hitting keys to make it look like I typed fast.

I can type about 70 words a minute with decent accuracy. After that, all bets are off. I think the best thing to do is just to keep practicing. The more you type, the easier it gets. You start to develop muscle memory. And eventually, you'll end up rarely looking at the keys and it will start to come easier. Good luck!

I hunt and peck my way to a blazing 10 wpm. I took a typing class in college and still can't type. If I don't look at the keyboard, I'm lost.

I took typing in high school for a semester. I don't know how fast I type now. To increase my speed, I played this game online called TyperShark. It's a sea/pirate themed kids game but it helped.

practice, practice. In time you will improve.

I'm pretty fast when it comes to typing, but I don't type the "correct" way. I don't have all of my fingers on the keys.

I'm good in typing my previous job needs faster in keyboard.

I have been typing every since high school. That was a big part of my job. I'm retired now, but can still type about 50 wpm.
