Maine Coons are the best! I love my Robin. My cats love jumping on my back. So weird, lol.

All the maine coons I've ever come across have been super sweet. Never had one, but I've always wanted one.

I used to have a maine koon cat myself, such a sweet disposition and so loving. She had the softest fur too. She used to love to lay out and stretch in the sun. I remember how long she looked when she did that. Thank you for making me think of her, such a good memory.

Our cat is a domestic short hair cat.  He loves to "hunt".  He opens the girls' drawer in the bathroom and gets out their ponytail holders.  He carries them downstairs mewing all the way letting us know that he "caught" one!!

That's one classy cat.  But then again cats are classy by nature.  I adore cats; so much so that my husband and I have 12.   That does not include the 2 neighborhood kitties that we've basically adopted.  One of my cats thinks she's a dog and loves to play fetch.  She's very good at it too.  She brings her little toy to me, drops it right at my feet and looks at me with that sweet, adorable face ready to run like the wind when I toss her toy.  Cats truly are gems are they not?

Yes, cats truly are gems, betlynjua.  And, Lenora, my Izzy stretches out very long, too.  He is the only cat I have ever seen that could lay on his back, stretch out his front two legs flat in front of him and his back two legs flat on the opposite side.

My cat likes playing with bottle caps and she loves....vanilla ice cream. In fact, every time I have a bowl in my hand, she associates it with ice cream. I give her a little taste on a paper plate and she laps it up. lol... :)

My 13-1/2 year old cat, Saki, who just passed away on July 29th, LOVED music!  If I sat at my computer and played my .mp3's and sang along, she would jump up in my lap and dance around.  She loved to be petted while I sang and directed my voice toward her.  She really surprised me one day when I played Andrea Bocelli's "Con Te Partiro."  She turned in to the biggest lover on the planet, rubbing her face across mine and touching me with her paws!  It was just awesome!  The day she passed away, I was playing .mp3's just for her, singing, and petting her.  She was laying in the sun and was SO relaxed.  I wanted her to have the best day and remember how our music gave us that "special" bond.

I've been pretty down since she died but, you know what made it a little better for me?  The next morning after she passed, the very second I woke up, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was playing in my head!  I will swear that Saki sent me this sign, telling me that she was OK and "Over the Rainbow Bridge!"  RIP, my beautiful girl - I miss you so very much!!!!

Izzy, my Maine Koon cat, also calls me MaMa.  I kid you not.  When he meows, it sounds like MaMa.  It is so human sounding, I will answer him "Yes?".
