Title: Birthday Food
Post by: minioncookies on August 04, 2014, 07:25:57 am
We all have had a birthday.. and we all know some restraunts you can get a small item for free if it's your birthday.. My question to you is.. Would you lie about it being your birthday to get the free item or a free item?

I was wondering.. because i was watching this show.. and the waitress gave free desert of your choice on your birthday... and he said it was his birthday..Well she wanted an id to verify that it was his birthday.. and of course he wasn't gonna give his id for verification.. LOL.. seriously? So let's just say i was curious to see if people actually go out of their way to get something for free.. even if it's not their birthday..

I can't do it for that reason: I don't want to be called out on a lie and be embarrassed.

No, I wouldn't do it.  That would be too deceitful.  Besides, I may want to go back on my actual birthday.

We usually tend to visit the same restaurants.Plus  I am usually so full after I finish my entree that I seldom have room for desert. It would be a waste for me.

I quess some would try it to see ifthey can get away with it.

This is not something I would do. I don't like calling attention to myself when it's my birthday.

Well actually it is rare for us to eat out even on a birthday but there is a BBQ place in town that gives an entire meal free on your birthday and you can't lie about it because you have to sign up online for the "birthday club" and they send you a certificate prior to your birthday which you have to bring with you.  I think its sad if someone wants something free bad enough to lie.

Hi,
Honesty is so important.  I am an honest person.  I couldn't lie in any situation, let alone lie to get free food.  Have a great day!

How very tacky is that to lie about your birthday to get something free.  I wouldn't even consider it.

LOL, too risky and don't want to get embarrassed  :-[ in public. I would never do that.

The easiest way to save (not to get free) is to say your are a senior, well of course you have to kinda look like one, LOL!

My husband is only 53 and sometimes we ask for a senior discount. Since he has white hair, they don't even ask for an ID. But now dyed his hair and now can't ask for the senior discount  :-[  ::)

People that lie about their birthdays to get a free meal ruin it for everyone else.
There aren't that many places that do much of anything anymore.
