we usually have a cookout but with the weather so freaking hot and the humidity so high i doubt we will do anything this year just stay home where its cool !! but happy labor to you all !!!!

A big group of my family on my mother's side have a reunion over the weekend at a park down south. Almost everyone has a camper so they make a weekend of it. I haven't decided whether or not to go this year. :-\
My son also likes to go to the Botanical Gardens in Missouri on Labor Day because he loves the Japanese Festival that normally happens that day. That may be what we opt for. :in-love:

I like to cook on the grill and play board games with friends and breakout the wine.

Yes i am very excited i am taking my girlfriend on a date to St. louis for the cubs and cardinals game shes a cubs game and i like the cards.

I think we will bbq at our house. But the plan always change. We don't have much people because most of my family are out of town. We will know when it get there.

This is normally a time for us to relax, cook out and then just do nothing or maybe catch a movie. :)

I usually don't do anything on that day. It will probably just be a day to get some rest.

Labor Day is fun and cooking out, also a time to see the family before the next big holiday.

We have no definite plans for that day yet. Most of the time we take in the local country fair or a classic car show. That won't be possible this year because our dog had knee surgery and has to be crated when we're not there to watch her so I don't like to leave for more than 4 hours at a time.

Nothing special....eat foods I don't normally have probably watch a movie.

Yes I used to. But since my husband died 6 months ago, my traditions have changed. I will have to see how the weekend progresses.I like to watch movies.

We don't have any special plans for Labor Day. Probably just hang out around the house and BBQ the evening meal. We like to avoid all the bad traffic in this area on that day so we don't even bother going anywhere.

My inlaws are coming at home, so we are going to cook and enjoy a holiday

sometimes, but its not guaranteed. I think we may be doing something this labor day though.

I have no plans for Labor Day as of yet. I probably will just relax and watch movies, and maybe cook on the grill... I am not really sure yet. But usually I don't do much on this holiday.

no plans yet..we have my granddaughters 13th birthday party saturday..birthday is on the 4th

This year we might go camping or have a cookout. It is also my birthday weekend so we may plan something around that.

Just staying home, having family and a few close friends over for a cookout. I can't believe summer is over.

I rarely have specific plans for Labor Day - mostly either catch up on yard work or go see a movie.

I have no plans for Labor Day. Just my usual schedule. Do some housework, wash some clothes and spend some time on the computer.

I usually go for a morning bike ride and watch the local parade and maybe get an invite for a picnic but not lately.

I am thinking of having a bbque just for the family; nothing fancy. I got to get ready to go back to work.

That weekend is set aside for a family reunion. Some times I go, but, I always ask for the time off from work. Just incase I feel the need to do something special. Plus I usually work all the other holidays.

We used to watch the MDA labor day telethon when it ran for the 21 hours and even work it on the local end. Been a while since my family has done that though( 23 years to be exact). Since my family is affected by one of the 40 diseases it has always meant something to us. Now we just take it easy.

If I wasn't working, we would try to spend time hiking or relaxing with family with a BBQ.

Most of the time we don't, just a long weekend.

Labor Day weekend is usually a time where our friends and family get together at a cookout and enjoy one another and good food. Since the summer usually goes by so fast and we don't see each other often, this day is that one day where we all can catch up on the going ons in each other's lives and stay in tune.

We don't do anything just our normal day we usually do. Really not into the whole celabration thing. We just stay home and watch tv and what ever else we normally do.

We usually go over to my grandparent's house, cookout, and just hangout with the rest of the family.

If the afternoon showers/storms don't rain us out we will grill ribs out and enjoy some good food. Basically that will be it.

Not really. It's really just another 3-day weekend for me, as a student.

no nothing special, just relaxing. I had a big Las Vegas weekend last week so i am ok to chill this weekend.

After working all weekend, I don't really feel like doing too much today anyway, so a quiet day with the husband and puppy, napping and we will grill our dinner tonight. Very low key. Hope everyone enjoys their day.
