Is it just me or is the heat getting unbearable?
I am usually an Indoor/Outdoor person but here lately
I have been a Strictly Indoor Person..
When i'm outside it's not for to long because my eyes start to blur.. Like you just looked into the sun or a light.. It almost is impossible to see so i get my shades everytime i go out.. It constantly stays hard to breathe.. Like you are wearing a heavy coat over your head or a heavy blanket.. I have to stay in the house in the air.. or in front of a fan that stays running..
If heat were a person i'd swear it was trying to kill me.. LOL.. Is it just me? Or is anyone else feeling the heat?

I AM WITH YOU. I am in the Los Angeles area, we have been having our usual heat (maybe even a little cooler!) but we have been having I think unbearable humidity. The humidity makes it seem a lot hotter, it is so draining, and it makes my hair curl into little ringlets. The humidity has been really hard on my garden too! /color]

Over the last several years, my phrase has been, 'it's not just hot, it's stinking hot'. No, it's not you. The heat has been unbearable. I love the outdoors too but this time of the year I spend as much time indoors as possible.
-
I am in total and complete agreement. The heat is really brutal here in central florida. But then sometimes in my house my son's have it too cool at night. :star:
-
Nope, it's just you. I haven't noticed anything different than most summers in Oregon, but then I guess we do have it better than most of the rest of the country.
-
I really don't handle the heat very well. I feel like I am just melting slowly. I find it hard to breathe. There was a very short time in my life that I could take the heat. I also can't take the extreme cold. I hurt all over.
-
I feel the heat hear too. It has been extremely hot, hopefully when fall arrives things will start to cool down. ;)

In the midwest it's been an unusually pleasant summer - been in the upper 70's to low 80's and low humidity most all summer. I think we may have only had a day or two that went above 90. This is not usual, typically we'd be in the upper 80's/90's by now with higher humidity - but I'm not complaining.
Yeah, that hard to breathe comment - first thing that popped into my head was where you are the humidity must be sky high. Personally I can handle the heat, it's the humidity that makes it unbearable to me.
-
The heat is getting more intense, and I also feel the same. I am waiting for fall weather.
-
It is HOT and it's not just you. it's really hot here in "Hotlanta" the name really fits Atlanta well this time of the year.
-
you're not imagining it, it getting hotter, and hotter,......it was 110 this week in fla. a couple of years ago, the republicans would swear there's no such thing as global warming......and still some of them still have their heads stuck in the sands of denial! Maybe after our future relatives end up having to put on a space suit just to go to work cuz the earth's atmosphere is too toxic to breath in will be the wake up call!
-
It's been a very mild summer when I live. This week it's going to be in the 90's but the rest of the summer hasn't been very hot at all.
-
Ha! I'm definitely feeling it!
Just came from NY to CA and this heat is crazy. It was over 100 within this past week.
-
I have always been that way. I am naturally hot all the time. It takes forever for me to get cold and generally if I'm cold, that means that everyone else is freezing. So yeah, days in the 70s kill me.
-
It has been a very summer where I live.
It has only reached the 90s a few times. It has been a pleasant 75-85 with some humidity, but nothing stifling.
-
I have never been a hot weather person. As far as I'm concerned we could delete summer and just go from spring to fall. I also think our climate is getting warmer. Scary!!!!!
-
Our weather has been so odd here in northeastern KY this summer. It has been cooler and wetter but the humidity has stayed high. I have seen the prediction for this winter and it doesn't look good. Higher than normal precipitation and lower than normal temperatures.
-
Im with you on this and you no its sad when the weatherman sys its going to cool down in the high 90's. How is that a cooldown from a lil over 100 lol
-
I'm from Illinois and yes the heat has been unbearable at times. What state are you from minioncookies if you don't mind me asking?
-
It's not just you! I stayed indoors for most of the summer and didn't realize how hot it's been until 2weeks ago whenever school started back up. It takes no more than10minutes to walk from my dorm to some of my classes and the library, but lately I prefer to take the bus because the humidity seems unbearable!
-
Well, I live in Arizona and it's normal for us to have 110 degrees on a regular basis. Some days are much hotter. Now that autumn is around the corner, we look forward to a cool 90 degrees, LOL. We need to knock out some of these golf courses and build a beach!
-
the heat is ridiculous! i hate it
-
The weather's definitely heating up again during the afternoon/evenings, but 8) nights and mornings.
-
Usually the end of August-September is unbearably hot. Very yucky. and then it will all be going downhill while we slowly turn cold.
-
I'm in California and I'm with you on the heat thing. I don't mind warmth, but I don't like being hot and being in the hot sun. I see how people work in the hot all day long. :-\
-
It has been pretty mild but I'm from the mid-Atlantic area. We had a harsh winter but a pretty mild summer. I hope it cools off for you guy's soon. God bless you. :rainbow:
-
It's pretty much the same weather where I live. It's just another summer. It been in the hi 80s, not 90 yet. Although without the wind it feels hotter.
-
I don't usually do well with the heat; however, this summer was better than some summers are, for me.
It almost sounds like you're describing hot flashes when you refer to the feeling of wearing a heavy coat. If you're menopausal or post menopausal you could take a multivitamin with vitamin E supplements to eliminate hot flashes.
It might be the place you live or a phase you're going through as an individual.

I have been in one of the most glorious, Colorado summers in twenty years! I think that we had less than six days over ninety degrees which is my melting point. Fall/autumn seems to have arrived early...like the first week of September and the temperatures have been in the seventies and low eighties which is perfect for me. We have been getting a lot of rain during the week but that is okay because I generally work from five in the morning until eleven at night. Always easier to work inside when the weather is yucky outside! This weekend is supposed to be sunny and in the high seventies to low eighties again!
-
I think the older we get the more the heat bothers us! That's just my opinion! ::)

I AM WITH YOU. I am in the Los Angeles area, we have been having our usual heat (maybe even a little cooler!) but we have been having I think unbearable humidity. I am also in the LA area, and the humidity has been unbearable. It makes me feel like it is hard to breath, or get a good breath. My hair is in ringlets and I am sweating all the time too.

I'm in Texas so it's always hot this time of the year. Hopefully it'll start cooling off soon.
-
The older the sun gets, the hotter it becomes until it burns out!!!!
