Do anybody know how to get free food to eat?
-
The only way I know would be soup kitchens. Check in your newspaper or check with local churches or Salivation Army.
-
Either a soup kitchen or if you qualify for food stamps. Restaurants do not give food away for free. Even if they have left over stuff at the end of the night they will usually throw it in the trash before they will let employees have it. And there are so many people just trying to get free stuff that have the money to buy what ever they want that it is getting harder for people who really could use some help to get anything. I know a lot of churches are getting more strict in how they give out money for people who just come in and ask for money for rent or whatever.

Try to go in your county and check if you are qualified to get a food stamp, you can go to food pantry they free food and they will give you also an EBT card to buy a food
-
In New Mexico we go to the Human Services office. You can also look up your state website and search for food stamps or welfare. They should have instructions there. You might even be able to apply online. Local churches would be able to tell you about food pantries, and other resources, in your area. Goodwill or St Vincent's would also have information about local low income resources. Good luck.
-
At your local church or food bank. You could also sign up for the government programs: wic or welfare too.
-
I would agree soup kitchens or depending on where you live there is also a food pantry that give out food usually once a week or month to needy families
-
McDonalds is giving a free small coffee in the mornings starting Sept. 16 - 29
Not sure if you need to buy a breakfast product.
-
The only place I know is the Salvation Army. I hope that helps you.
-
Food pantry, church's, soup kitchens, to name a few, if you need helpw that is where i would check. Also, grocery stores give samples on certain days, good way to grab a bite...
-
Local food banks.
-
Usually Churches or food banks hand out food once a month, if that is what you are talking about. And you can look for coupons for free single items at fast food places, I have got the in the mail before.
-
Check with your county offices and with your church to find organizations that provide food.

Food Pantry places DO NOT give you EBT cards. That has to come from the state.

You have to be pregnant or just have had a baby to get WIC.

Pretty much all fast food places that give you a free item it is buy one get one free. And the item you buy is not cheap. If you are desperate enough to need free food then I doubt you can afford to buy a $3 burger to get the free one.
I don't know about any where else but in my area and surrounding counties less and less churches are handing out food. They have been burned too many times by people who are just free loaders. It also amazes me at the people who want more and more free stuff when they have plenty of money to buy what ever they want. Grrr. That makes me mad. And it seems like most churches and food pantries only hand out food once a month and you have to fill out a paper and show ID. I guess that is not a big deal if you get a bag of free food. They are just trying to keep people from taking advantage.
I also have noticed a lot of people don't want to go to a place like this because they don't want to be seen and people talk about them. I am really kind of upset right now about this very thing. People just seem to look for reasons to talk about someone else or put them down. Or "shame" them on the internet. aka run them down.
Ramen Noodles are cheap. You can get a package for 12 cents or so. And they are pretty good. If you are hungry they are even better. :)

Food banks gives food, also in Churches i have seen

You might also ask at local restaurants and bakeries... Although the national chains will rarely allow someone to have "leftovers", a local place may be more willing to do something like that. I know that there was this one bakery that had made a deal with some students that had gone in and asked about their leftovers... At the end of the day, the leftovers would be bagged up and given to the students who showed up at that specified time provided that they didn't make a mess, didn't harass other customers (including panhandling from them), and didn't make it too widely known (so that others who could afford the breads wouldn't cheat the business). But I think eventually the bakery decided to give their leftovers to a soup kitchen instead to ensure that they were helping those who were truly in need.

Go to the food pantry. Sometimes companies will give you coupons to try new products and you can try for free.
-
Churches sometimes have soup kitchens.
-
With the Holidays coming up there is many places. Like others have said food banks, churches and many other things you may have in your state or county. Most of these places give food all year round. You would need to go to your local places or call and search to see what is available to you.
-
Many times churches will give food. I know my church has food for people in need on Saturday mornings so I'm sure other churches do similar things.
-
i am a big couponer and i have been able to get a ton of food free this way. you have to pay attention to the sales in your area and in certain states they will even double your coupons up to a $1 when they are less then a buck. they dont where i live so it is harder to get completely free food but it is still possible.
-
Hari Krishnas here often give out free food to people. If you're really trying to get some free meals, you might look into what your local Hari Krishnas have to offer. They've always been extremely pleasant when I've come across them.
-
food pantries or churches are the best bet! :peace:
-
Soup kitchens or food banks. At least with myself, I do like to sample food when offered at wholesale places like Costco, but I guess that doesn't count.
-
Some times Churchs have free food for people in need. Have a good day.

A lot of places are getting more strict and like the bakery started doing because so many people who can afford to buy their own food and cheating the systems and trying to get everything for free when they don't really need help. I know a woman who was going to go to all the surrounding counties and hit up the food pantries to get free food from all of them and lie to get it even. She gets some food stamps but is lying to get them cause in reality she does not qualify. So it's not always as easy as just go to a church and ask for food. I know a lot of them have started asking for ID and even proof of income. Which I don't blame them. I am to the point that when people are asking for money or food I automatically assume they are just scamming to get something for free. I could use some free food myself and actually don't have the money to buy food lol but nobody really knows that.
-
I work as a mystery shopper, a lot of my shops are grocery stores. I buy from 9 to 20 dollars of groceries, depending on program and then am reimbursed within 2 weeks to 2 months. You are reimbursed for the groceries and get paid to turn in your paper work.
-
you can go to your local food bank and the salvation army has free food at their food banks.. you can look at your community resource center to find local free food places like food banks etc.
-
Most area's have a pantry that provides people with low income or no income food. I don't know where you live but you can talk to Social Services, or the health Department in your area for the food pantry.
-
Some local churches may give out food basket weekly or monthly. if you really looking for help you may need to go to the your local Welfare office to get food stamps to buy all the food you may need. good luck to you.
-
Many places offer something free on your birthday. I think Waffle House gives you a free waffle. Many restaurants give a free dessert. You can try couponing. If you're strategic you can get groceries dirt cheap, sometimes free if you're really good. You can look around free sample websites like teenfreeway's food secction. I got a free box of cherrios once. I haven't tried lately I'm sure I could have got more. I know it's not a real meal or anything but better than nothing for free. Hope this was helpful :)
-
Various restaurants have free food on your birthday for signing up with them. Recently I got a free burrito from California Tortilla.
-
My mom is pretty bad off financially and she goes to local churches and they supply families in need with food and clothing.
-
try to enroll in either wic or food stamps. Also check food bank and church in your area.
-
I live in a big city and there are several places that offer free food. Maybe ask around or on facebook and somebody will help you out.
-
Sometimes I stumble across a survey that offers food to sample and voice an opinion on. In turn they often pay a few extra bucks for taking the time in completing a survey. Some things I've received are pizza, crackers, cookies, coffee creamer. Ya just never know what some survey's lead you to.
-
The only thing i could think of is maybe soup kitchen which doesn't really help you because it seems like that is what everybody else is saying as well.
-
These would be the first places to start:
*Go to all the local churches and see when and if they feed the homeless/hungry
*Go to homeless shelters. They're the first to know of local places/charities that feed the hungry/homeless
*Apply for government assistance
*Contact all local charities
*Contact local grocery stores. Some stores, do give out food they're not going to be able to sell
Those are the steps you'll want to take.
-
i had a really nice free meal at church today.. I decided to try out one of the local churches and to my surprise they serve a meal after worship service. it was really nice.
-
A lot of cities have a food bank; our town has one that is administered through the police department, requiring a person to apply there. It amazes me how many transients asking for help will not take advantage of this service, which makes me wonder if they are dodging a criminal warrant or something.
Some churches also have food distribution kitchens and there are also community gardens that allow people to pick produce for free.
-
I think sine restaurants offer free food when they are closing down.. Since they will probably throw it out anyways, so why not give it away.. However don't continuously go there because they will question you... Other than that warehouse stores always have free samples
-
It probably depends on where you live. I know in some areas there are soup kitchens and rescue missions that give out food, clothing, blankets free of charge to anyone who needs it. I also saw on the news the other day that there were one or two restaurants who were offering free hot lunches to those that need it, but this was a local thing. Perhaps you should check your local newspaper or call the salvation army, local churches, food pantries in your area. It can't hurt. Where do you live?
-
In our area there is a Free Food Bank, The Salvation Army and the City Gospel Mission to name a few.
-
Food banks is the only thing or soup kitchens. Sometimes I get food samples which are small online but that is not a huge help. The only other free food is food purchased with the food stamp program. :turkey:
-
I agree with checking with your church. They should be able to direct you.
-
Second Harvest is a good place. They collect food from local restaurants and grocery stores, and pass it out to people in need.
-
I love to volunteer you help people.. and you learn a new skill that works out great for your resume
-
Check your local food pantry or Church's who help the hungry.
-
Check the newspaper, your county, food stamp, ebt, soup kitchen, Pantry's. Dial 311 you never know what you may qualify for.
-
You can get free food from the churches, food bank, and probably a whole lot of other places.
-
Local food banks are a good to start. Try signing up for food stamp.
-
Kind of wondering how you have internet access and don't have food ??? ??? I don't think you can use public internet to be on Fusion Cash or even use someone else's computer. I'm sure you qualify for food stamps(now on an EBT card) so you might want to look into it :peace:
