Title: rain and more rain
Post by: aggie49 on September 19, 2014, 12:19:45 pm: it has been raining all day and doesn't look like it is going to stop any time soon i was going to work in the yard in my garden so instead cooking baked ziti with my daughter

Post by: aggie49 on September 19, 2014, 04:39:54 pm: i hope it is nice tomorrow to but i do not think so it is suppose to be the same as today i am in tampa fl and it is coming from the southeast and the southwest it is suppose to clear up by monday it is just so hard to keep everyone occupied when it is bad weather but today we made the baked ziti sausage and meatballs salad and garlic bread my girl is going to make some man very happy we also made cannolis

We have so little rain throughout the year that if we don't put our sprinklers on, the grass turns brown and eventually dies. We then are susceptible to the growth of weeds which never look nice. I don't like to waste water by sprinkling the lawn, however I would end up quite depressed if I had to look at weeds instead of flowers, evergreens and veggie plants. As it is my sprinklers are quite old and aren't as effective as they use to be about reach all four corners of the garden!

It also helps to cool the hot weather in Texas.
