My daughters are 13 and 11 and want to trick or treat. How is too old to go?
-
You are never to old to go. 13 & 11 still are youngsters.
Life is meant to be enjoyed, if they are enjoying trick or treating, good for the older generations. I would love to see older people as well dress up & trick or treat, it would be a blast.
I have tweens & teenagers trick or treating in my neighborhood. I enjoy them. I liked to see the effort they put in their costume & I always have tons of candy I am happy to give away to who ever wants it.

You're never too old to enjoy yourself! Halloween is great fun around our house! My daughter and I dress up, decorate the yard to the hilt, and have so much fun on Halloween that people actually bring cameras with them and take photos with us, LOL.

I think 13 and 11 year old kids are not too old to trick or treat.
-
I think it depends on the child. I've had some "kids" come to my door with real mustaches and weighing about 200 lbs! I do feel that is a bit too old for trick or treating. I think of trick or treating as more for younger kids, not 16-18 year olds.
-
Go for it! You are only young once, let them enjoy Trick or Treat. If they were 17 and 15 I would say no, but they are still young!
-
Thirteen and eleven? Definitely NOT too old to go. Kids go in their teens, i.e. 16, 17 and even 18. I think under 20 years of age is fine, 19 might be a bit of a stretch but it's still not a big deal. Any age older than this.... come on, leave it for the kids and just go buy candy after it goes on sale if you don't have much money to spend on it. :pumpkin:

i couldnt decide on a costume for my little guy last year. it was his first halloween and i did buy an elephant costume but then we found a spiderman costume and he was that.
-
if you like , everyone could trick or treat ;D
-
I went when I was 12 or 13 so I think your children are still young enough. Sometimes I still wish I was a kid and could go b/c I remember how fun it was to get all dressed up and go out with my sister and dad.
-
If they are still interested in and hyped up about trick or treating, please encourage them!!! ;D Kids grow up far too fast!!! Enjoy helping them pick out costumes, and taking pictures, and all that. Those ages are definitely not too old at all. When I was 13 or 14 I was still trick or treating. :) :pumpkin:

Halloween is about fun and more fun and there is nothing wrong with them going Trick or Treat.
-
I personally stopped when I was 16 lol. They only have a few years left to do it, let them have at it!
-
I take my kids now
-
Personally, I don't celebrate Halloween at all. Things seem to be a lot different than when I was a kid though. When I was a kid if a 13 year old went trick or treating they would be laughed out of the school. But these days you have kids in high school that go. I have a neighbor that has a daughter than is in 7th or 8th grade and he rides baby toys that are for like a 18 month old baby down the road in front of the house. When I was a kid you would have been made fun of for playing for baby toys.
-
Personally I do not celebrate Halloween use to when I was in the world but since I am a Christian I do not but I DO NOT judge anyone who does it
-
My daughter is 12 but she is special needs so I still plan on taking her.
-
I dont think you're ever too old to go trick or treating. But I stopped when I was about 14. After that, I just took my younger cousins until they were old enough to go on their own.
-
you are never too old to go. one year up in Alaska I only had about 9 tricker treaters and only about 2 were under the age of 16...I was just glad people came by and took my candy so I wouldn't eat it. the spirit of Halloween is for all to share....tell your kids to have a great time and enjoy.
-
you're never too old to go! trick or treating is harmless fun and i love seeing the costumes the older ones come up with!
-
I think once you hit the "teens" you should be staying home and passing out candy. You've had your time! Let the kids have the fun now!
-
I don't like to go trick or treat. Thank You!
-
i think 13 is to old,,,,,,,,, :rainbow:
-
I think 14 is too old...I went trick or treating up until I was 13. The following year I was over it...So no 13 and 11 is NOT to old.
-
I"m probably the wrong person to ask because I was trick n' treatin' at 18! :o
-
I use to know people in their 20s who went so I guess it depends on the person and the people giving candy. :pumpkin:
-
that is not to old at all mine were doing it at that age let them be kids and have lots of fun and be safe
-
There are Adults who go trick or treating, just on a different scale. I don't think you ever too old to go trick or treating, if that's your kind of think. I don't particularly like halloween.
-
Age is only a state of mind .. I know plenty of adults that absolutely love Halloween
-
My son is 15 and still goes out to trick and treat
-
:sad1: sorry but I don't celebrate that day. Oct. 31 is not in my party list. Many people worship the devil on that day. Many people don't know what they celebrate, and many just don't care.
As for the costume, any age for a costume party is fine for any other day of the year.
-
I will go out for treat with my son.
-
Oh I think those ages are still fine to go :) Once in a blue moon we have 18 year olds come by for candy, I always give it to them, so they dont egg my house LOL!
-
It is not my favorite holiday now, but as a kid I liked it because you could get lots of candy. I know kids love it.
I did let my kids go trick or treating when they were small and they just stopped on their own at a certain age. I can't see much appeal there for a teenager. They normally opt for Halloween parties, don't they? :pumpkin:
What breaks my heart is when the child's parents ask for stuff too because they're so poor. That's really sad. :(

Personally knowing it is the Satanists #1 holiday on their calendar....and knowing the evil roots involved: we choose to have nothing to do with that day at all!
