You have to clear your history in between tasks or the extension won't work correctly.

I have it installed, also, and don't have a problem with it, but I use private browsing (which doesn't save your history) and maybe that's why I don't have the same problem.  I did see one of those Tasks where the timer didn't pop up on the page it was supposed to so I'm assuming that Task is broken.

I reenabled java lastnight for this and first task no timer. When I click the orange crowdflower icon in the corner and click current task status it told me this( unknown verifier specified ) what does that mean never had problems like this before this task stuff was easy at one time why do we have to do it this way know?

Are you using the latest version of Firefox?  It's now version 33.0.  Do you know whether or not any of your Plugins need to be updated?  These can normally be found in the "Tools" menu, listed as "Add-ons."  Once you click on "Add-ons" a new window opens.  On the left-hand side, click on "Plugins."  At the top of that page, you'll see "Check to see if your plugins are up to date." Click that, then scroll the list you get and see if all of your plugins are, in fact, up to date.  If not, update them.  Hope that helps you out.

I believe what ladavia89 said about clearing your browser history, that can help. Maybe you can try Chrome browser...

Sometimes it helps just to hit the orange button on the task window again then reclick the bookmarklet.

When the timer on the crowdflower extension task doesn't come up, click the red Flower-like icon and a drop down menu comes up-choose check current status. It will then create a message at the bottom of the page to help you understand the problem. If you give the job number next time in your message, we can help you more.

I don't mess with the tasks too much. too much effort. I stick with the surveys. sometimes I get an easy offer .
