If you won the lottery, would you move from your current neighborhood?
I would move to a nicer neighborhood and retire quick. I would travel and enjoy life more.
What would you do? :)
-
if it was a lot i would retire and travel. buy a bigger house and hire a maid to keep it clean. have a good day.
-
if it was a lot i would retire and travel. buy a bigger house and hire a maid to keep it clean. have a good day.
The only thing I would add is a beach house.
-
Yes, and enjoy life by traveling the world.
-
I don't think I would but its hard to say. I would like a bigger house but I live in a house my mom had built and likewise would hate to leave it. I would like to have the $$ to buy the 3 acres beside me and then I could add on to my house or maybe add a second story and a pool. Who knows but I'd like to find out lol.
-
I'd buy a house at the cost and retire.
-
If it's a lot, I would move! 8)
-
I would move for sure if there was enough money and live comfortably.
-
I like where I live so no, I would stay put.
-
I would hide out for about 6 months somewhere nice.
-
Oh! For sure. I would built my own mansion on the hill!
-
I would stay put, & invest!
-
yes I would get a nice home by my son's home.
-
Probably not, but I'd make some improvements.
-
you bet, I would have vacation house!
-
no.. but i will find other better house in this neighborhood, make over and have party a lot :)
-
YES YES YES. I don't play the lottery.. however. I do have an imaginary plan. I would book a 10 -14 day vacation. Buy myself the fastest lap top out there. While on vacation sitting on a beach after days and nights of R&R I'd find my perfect temporary house online. I would begin arranging details in purchasing and closing on the house as well as have things lined up for the move when I get in from my trip. After the move I'd commence life as usual. However I'd spend more time involved with church, my kids and community.
-
Well maybe not move from my neighborhood but buy another place somewhere a little nicer :)
-
I would buy my neighborhood and rent out the houses.
-
Yes! I would be out of here before the ink was dry on the check :)
-
yes, I would
-
I wouldn't move, but I'd definitely do some major remodeling of my house. Actually when I look around at some of the other houses in the neighborhood, mine's probably on the lower end quality-wise. So it's more of the house than the neighborhood... And since my house is already too big for myself (I bought it thinking I might get married at some time in the future, so bought it bigger than I currently needed) I wouldn't really need to get a bigger house, just make the current one nicer.
-
If I won the lottery, yes I would move to a better neighborhood. I would want a bigger house with lots of privacy but I like the city where I live, so I'd be somewhere near where I am now.
-
I like my quiet little town but I would definitely get a bigger house.
-
I would move and except for those who were closest to me, nobody would know my new address. I would probably end up on a beach somewhere.
-
Yes I'm. The neighborhood that I'm on right now is not bad but I'm deserve better with a good place. :)
-
Probably so I can be closer to work.
-
Yes, I would for sure move and start my own business.
-
Depends on the size of the take home check. Pay off all of my bills first, then pay off the bills of some of my family members. Then do some remodeling on my home. Put some of it to work for me, the company I worked at for 30 years went bankrupt and took our retirement plan with it, so I will need the income in a few years to help with a nice retirement.
-
Definitely! I want to move out of state now, even without winning the lottery.
-
I suppose I would move but not from my neighborhood just to a larger house. Of course I would take the time to stop and smell the roses more often too.
-
pretty sure I would move!!
-
Oh yes. if it was enough I would give to the church, sell the house where I am and buy a place in the mountains with a very large fishing hole and hunting for my hubby. Have plenty of bedrooms for the families to visit. I know there is a lot of snow in the winter but I am one that can, can and preserve food and I love a wood stove. So we would be warm and tummys would be full.
-
I would move from my current neighborhood. I want to move where my daughter lives, but I have to sell my house first. I am already retired, but I would travel.
-
I would move just to go explore an travel the world to see better things
-
I definitely would move if I won the lottery. My neighbors are nice and I feel generally safe, but I would like a warmer climate and actually a larger house among other perks. I also always wanted my own mini theatre as seen in pictures and the movies.
-
I already have a house picked out in Hilo, Hawaii that I would call my second home. I would still keep the house I live in now since the property has been in my husband's family for over 80 years now.
-
We have to move within the next 2 years at latest anyways, but I would continue to go to the neighborhood that were already planning. Only difference we would buy land and then build ourselves :)
-
If I won the lottery I would get a house by the beach. I have always wanted to do that. I would want a nice house but it doesn't have to be huge. Wanna make sure I have plenty of money to relax and enjoy life!
-
Yes but only bc I'm in an apartment and I would move into a house. BUT I would stay in the same town!!
-
Heck yes. I'd move back to Hawaii.
-
Nope, I'd pay off my house, fix it up a little and stay right where I am.
-
I'd fix up our current home. And also buy a nice winter home in a warmer climate...it snows here!
-
It would depend on how much I won. In general, if I won millions like 5mil or more then I would buy a ranch home. There aren't any ranch homes in my neighborhood, but there are some in other parts of my city. So I may just stay local. I love the mountain views where I live now, so I would also consider just adding on to my home.
-
I would, but i have my house on the market at the moment anyway. winning the lottery would certainly help!
-
If I won a large amount of money in the lottery I would move someplace where nobody would know me and wouldn't beg for my money. I would also love to travel so I wouldn't be at home that much anyway.
-
Nope I love where I was born and raised :)
-
It depends. If I won a millions of dollars I would definitely move out of my current neighborhood. I am afraid that if I stayed and my neighbors found out about it my life would be in danger because I don't trust any body.
-
i think this depends on how much you win, and also if you already live in a nice area, there is no reason to move :P
-
Yes, I would move to a neighborhood that has larger yards and the houses sit on more square footage. :)
-
I love where i live ,so no i wouldnt move from my currentt neighborhood(i would just fix up the home i have :)
-
That is something i have not thought of for one because i dont play the lottery but i think i would probably stick around i love all my friends and family around me.
-
Yes I would move if I won the lottery and also buy me a big house
-
I would also move into a nice neighborhood, and travel to some exotic places if I won the lottery.
-
if won a large amount lottory monies, I'd have my house now professionally remodeled an update! I'd also travel alot wit my cats!
-
To sum this up nicely hell yeah i would move to another neighborhood
-
If i won the lottery id be like by family (Family lately hasn't been good its been horrible. Can't really trust them nor can count on them. They just want me here to be here and be trapped i don't like that) that be the first thing id do is leave if i won
-
In a heartbeat! I hate it here. I'm in the suburbs of Los Angeles and it's getting really trashy. I'd move somewhere rural/quiet.
-
Yes, I'm pretty sure I would leave for a more suitable location. Somewhere that's got plenty of shops and such fairly quickly accessible because right now we just don't live close enough to very many places so I'd like to not have so far to go to get to the store or work and have more shopping options available without having to travel clear across town.
-
I'd probably stay in same neighborhood but move to a different house. I would also definitely be a "snowbird" but already planning that into my future anyway.... :D
-
I'm not sure but it is something I would consider.
-
heck yes id be gone and take the famiy with me!........ :present:
-
Probably stay for awhile... My place is in walking distance to the train station so commuting to college is easy
-
I would definitely move and get a house closer to my family.
-
We live in a basement apartment with a family of 6 upstairs. Noisy and black mold down here.OH,YES WE would MOVE.
-
I might move as I would like to live in North Carolina but it would be a lot of work so I would probably just stay here.
-
No, I will just travel so don't need to buy a new house if not always there. I will buy a luxury RV and travel every state.
-
If I won the lottery I would probably move house. I like our current neighborhood but our house is really a starter home so is quite small. I would take a few vacations, definitely visit the UK since most of my family members are there. I would want lots of new technical stuff to replace my clapped out broken stuff and I would probably hire a maid to clean my house once a week. I love to cook so would buy modern conveniences and kitchen equipment so I could have a good time in the kitchen.
-
If it were a lot of money I would move in a heart beat. Our county is ranked one of the worse in the nation school wise and I want my daughter in a better school system. Then she doesn't have to go through what her older sister did. I mean there are other things I would buy as well. But my daughter is in 7th grade so that takes priority right now.
-
In a heartbeat! It would definitely make life more enjoyable.
-
I would not move I would do a lot of traveling
-
I would still be a part of my community but I wouldn't reside here anymore. Too bad I don't buy the lottery.
-
Hell yeah I would. I would run as fast as a speeding bullet.
-
I would absolutely move! Not sure where but I do love the beach and maybe open my own business to keep myself occupied.
-
I would move. More than likely to another state.
-
If I won a lottery Ill move out of this neighborhood. I deserve a better life if I won a lottery.
-
I'm not sure. I would buy a place at the cost and just go back and forth.
-
Maybe so I can walk to work instead of driving.
-
If I won the lottery, I would get a house on a lake. I would keep my home in my town and stay in my current neighborhood. I love my backyard and location.
-
It would depend on how much I won ... I would first set aside the tax money and then put 1/2 of what is left to work to make me money ... the decision to move would come down the road after I am making money from my money.
-
If I won the lottery I would probably stay where I'm at till the end of the school year so my teenage daughter wouldn't have to disrupt her first year in high school. After that I would probably move closer to my mom and help take care of her because she is getting older.
-
Yes we could move out of the basement. This is a old place and we have black mold down here. So,moving with extra cash would be a good thing.
-
not sure..we left our house and moved to the country..i loved it,but he's a city boy..so we would probably stay where we are
-
Is that a serious question lol. I hate my neighborhood i would go back home to Texas if i won the lottery i despise the state of Louisiana with a passion. I wish i had never moved here.
-
Yes, but in the same area. I love the community I live in, so I would buy a bigger house with lots of land.
-
if I won the lottery I would move from New York all together and I would buy a house in florida
-
I would definitely move. With a big enough pot, I'd buy a home to live in while I have the home I actually want built, then give the first home I bought to my mom. And hopefully, pay off my dad's mortgage and buy a home for my husband's mom.
-
Id like to say id keep things the same but I dont think it would be possible.
-
It would depend on how much I won ... I would first set aside the tax money and then put 1/2 of what is left to work to make me money ... the decision to move would come down the road after I am making money from my money.
Smart. Very smart.
-
I would leave everything behind because ill just buy everything new and ill give alot to charity i would love to help othere people then turn my back on othere for something i can give them
-
If you won the lottery, would you move from your current neighborhood?
I would move to a nicer neighborhood and retire quick. I would travel and enjoy life more.
What would you do? :)
Yes. I would buy a place close to a lake.I have always liked the idea of watching the sun come up over the water. I am a nature lover. What better place to live than with the pulse of life. BMaston12
-
Yes I do believe I would relocate, I would by a house close to my neighborhood and a country house in some other state just to get away.
-
I would stay where I am and get a second home at the beach; oh, and a third in the mountains!
-
Yes, I would move
-
If I won a huge amount like last night's drawing - yes probably. Nothing to do with not feeling safe. I live beside my parents. I would sell both houses and buy several acres out in the country and either build one big house or 2 smaller ones. Either way we wouldn't work. Guess I would have to get another phone number as well. It's like the guy who was walking to work (supposedly) and got like $350,000 in donations PLUS a car and he said people were calling him asking him for money and he has not even seen the money yet. lol. Yep you got all kinds of friends if you can give them money.
-
For sure.... get a place by some water .
-
I would sell this house and buy me a nicer one. I would try to help a lot of people. I would like to tour all the countries in Europe. I would buy a motor home and travel the USA. I have never been out west. Hope everyone has a good day. :)
-
If I won the lottery (real big winnings not just a couple thousand), I would give back to those who have given to me when I was really down and out, then I would buy the house I am not renting and fix it up the right way. I would also buy a place somewhere where its warmer. I would change much else, except be able to go into a store and buy what I wanted instead of checking the prices and buying generic brands (although some generic things taste better than name brands IMO)
-
For sure I live in a low rental. There's no heat from two in the afternoon to dinner!
-
YES, in a heartbeat! It would speed up my plans. :moneymouth:
-
Hello. Well that is a nice thought. :) ;) Wow winning the lottery is everybody's dream. :angel11: :D I would be so excited I wouldn't know where to begin. :highfive:  I wouldn't move out of my neighborhood I grew up here. I love my neighborhood. :) In regards to what I would do if I won. First of I would invest the money. :moneymouth: :) Then I would pay all my bills. :) I would send money to my family. :moneymouth: And finally I would enjoy my money. :moneymouth: :D I hope each one of us get a chance to win the lottery. :highfive:  :) Until then it will only be a dream. :moneymouth: ;) :D
-
I would definitely move if I won the lottery and never look back. I live in one of those small old school towns where everybody knows everybody and everybody's business. Need I say more??
-
If I won the lottery I would not move away immediately. I really like my subdivision; great neighbors. I would completely renovate my home, and probably add on an additional room.
-
If you won the lottery, would you move from your current neighborhood?
YES- I would not only move out of this neighborhood but out of this state. I would be long gone to some place tropical.
-
Probably! But I wouldn't win because I'm not very lucky!
-
Oh yeah, first I would give to the church and then I would buy me a small farm , and then go completely self sufficient , All solar, wind and have a couple of well on it. The only thing I would have to buy would be propane and even then I would have a couple of 500 gallon tanks for it. Mostly would be using electric so it would last a long time. No bills. My neighbors are great but still I would like it out in the country. Again.
-
I might move but not far. I live 15 min from the beach so I don't want to give that up. I'd probably pay off my parents house and buy my own house nearby
-
depends on how much i won, i'd travel, pick the country i enjoyed most and live there.
-
No, I wouldn't. I like where I live.
-
I would disappear!
-
If you won the lottery, would you move from your current neighborhood?
I would move to a nicer neighborhood and retire quick. I would travel and enjoy life more.
What would you do? :)
I would keep my townhouse but would completely remodel...mostly I would want to travel...I'd buy a motorhome :)
-
Absolutely.
I mean, the area is nice enough, but I would love to have more sprawling land :D
I mean, I definitely don't have enough space for a personal helicopter! ;P
-
Definitely. I'd love more space and to be closer to the city. I wouldn't go to crazy with it though. I'd probably give most of the money away that I don't invest.
-
No I love it here.
-
If you won the lottery, would you move from your current neighborhood?it would depend on how much i win?
-
If I won the lottery, I would probably wisely invest it and not change a thing about my life. Would just mean I wouldn't have to worry about retirement funds at all. Maybe the only thing I'd do differently would be to pick up some dance classes again, but that would be about it. I love my house and neighborhood, so I wouldn't want to leave. I'd probably eventually get a new car when my current one finally bites the dust. But not much else would change.
-
I would disappear!
I like that idea!
If I won the lottery I would most definitely leave here. I'd leave the country altogether, actually, and never look back. Do some traveling for a while and see some things that we've always wanted to see. Probably end up landing for good in Australia or New Zealand.
-
It depends on how much. I would like to have a small house at the beach.
-
My house is over 30 years old now and I'm having constant plumbing leaks, so I'd buy a newly built house in the same city.
-
you bet if I was lucky enough to win the lottery I would purchase a better and nicer summer place and sell my home and summer place I have now but would be a bit closer to the lake and when my hubby works and we would have the best of both worlds I would also donate money to Wounded Warrior Project and St Judes children's hospital both places I believe in
-
definitely! id move somewhere warmer
-
Yes but only because I live in an apartment and I want a house!!!! But it wouldn't be far from here.
-
It depends how much "winning the lottery" amounted to. Yes, I would move out and sell my house, moreso because I am annoyed by the upkeep. I would get a decent sized condo, probably downtown. And yes, I would travel. a lot.
-
Heck yeah I'd get a nicer house. Nothing too fancy.
-
I would list my house for sale and begin building the home that i have always wanted in the country, im a country girl at heart and would love to not live in the city any longer.
-
I would take that money, and invest it. I would start my own business, buy houses and flip them, give to charity, and several food banks. I would move to another neighborhood.
-
would probably move to a different one to a better house.
-
I will move the country will never freeze and buy a house by the ocean.
-
No, I love my neighborhood!
-
Nope, I love it here. I would travel when I got tired of it but nope wouldn't leave here. I would build myself and artists studio to do all my stuff.
-
I'd move out of my neighborhood in a heartbeat; as a matter of fact we are doing some repairs and remodeling to put our house on the market to sell even though the market is way down around her now. But our neighborhood has really gone downhill the last 5-8 years. Lots of families have moved out and the houses are being bought by ppl who have a lot of rental properity. The property's are not kept up as good and its really starting to show.
-
The way folks would heckle you, you would have no choice but to relocate for a little while till all the talk and hype dies down.
-
No... My location is perfect for my college commute.... Maybe after I finish my education I would move to a place where electrical engineering is in demand
-
I live on a border, so I would just move down the street because I like the area and the diversity in it.
-
I like to travel a lot, so i would travel to many different places and then settle down at a nice place.
-
To sum it up quite frankly oh yeah. Not just from the neighborhood but from the state entirely. I hate california
-
if I won the lottery I would do many things with it.
-
If I won the lottery I would travel a lot and I would donate money to hospitals and church. Your neighbors don't need to know that you are the winner. So if you like your house, stay there. ;)
-
Yes, I would definitely move, not because I don't like my neighborhood, but because my house is not big enough for all the stuff we have accumulated over the years. I would just like a bigger house.
-
yep, i sure would move!!
-
I will definitely move to a nicer neighborhood.
-
I would definitely move from my current neighborhood and purchase a home. Maybe move to a different state. Travel the world also
-
Yeah i would probably move and buy a house in another part of town. Currently living in condo in middle of downtown. Definitely would put 40-50% in savings. Travel more.
-
no i wouldnt move.
-
Probably I would love to have my own washining machine and dryer! Darn rentals :peace:
-
Yes. Actually, I would just up and move out of this state. I live in New Jersey, and not only is it ridiculously expensive here, but I just don't like it. I'd rather live in New Hampshire. I want to live somewhere deep in the woods, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I want a private little log cabin where my closest neighbor is like 2 miles away!
-
It might depend how much i won.If i won millions i might consider moving to the Pacific Northwest.I think the climate there would suit me well.Oregon maybe!!
-
I would sale my house and buy one that is a lot nicer. I have always want to travel. I would like the tour the countries in Europe. I would spend a lot of time on the beach. I love to hear the waves. They are so peaceful. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)
-
Yes, I do think we would move. We need a larger house because we have accumulated a lot of things over the years plus our family is growing so we need more guest rooms.
-
Yes! I will definitely move out, but slowly so that nobody notice whats going on, Its kind of scary to win the lottery. What if somebody will after the big money rob it. I can`t imagine.
-
I would move to your neighborhood and put up a big fence around my house and park expensive cars in front and have big parties to all hours of the morning, NAH just a thought :silly: 8)
