Title: When do you start shopping for the holidays?

I like to shop early because I can layaway some stuff and because I don't like long lines and crowded stores. By getting most of the shopping done now, then when it gets closer to Christmas i can look for bargains for myself.

I like to be close to done by Thanksgiving because then I can enjoy going out and doing the last little bit without being stressed. I loved the holidays and don't like to miss out on enjoying all the magic by racing around stressed.

Hopefully by then there are a few people like myself who do not like to find a parking spot or to stand in a long line. But I do prefer the online shopping now. It is fast and from the convenient of your own home.

Post by: catchow on October 22, 2014, 10:37:23 am: I start making lists throughout the year, when I hear someone likes something I make a note of it, but dont start shopping till November. My Xmas tree goes up day before Thanksgiving, so no need for presents till then

Post by: vickysue on November 06, 2014, 02:14:54 pm: I have no children and since all of my nieces and nephews are grown and have children it really would cot a fortune to buy for all of And they are all into electronics forget it. So I do a lot of baking and making candy. All though I will buy something for my great-great nephew. He will be a year old soon. Since he is old enough to be read to it will be story books. He has 3 grandmothers and 2 grandfathers plus the greats so I know he will be overloaded on toys. But I believe they should be read too asap. I started very early on my boys.
