for us its cable which we already let go we really enjoy netflix
-
cable because we can still watch shows if we have internet
-
Cable. I can always watch most of my shows via Netflix or Hulu.
-
Cable will be the first to go and that may not be so distant in the future. I've threatened that the next price increase will be the one to cause it to be turned off. $73/month for basic cable is ridiculous. I'm not home enough to watch it and when I am home, I'm generally on the computer/internet.
-
cable would be the 1st to go.
I can see evrything I need on the internet tv shows and news etc :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin:
-
I would let cable go first. I can always watch my favorite shows on the internet.
-
Defintely cable. I have been without cable for about 3 years now. Just mostly watch netflix and got an antenna to watch local stations. Need internet.
-
oh definitely cable!
-
I too would let go of cable first.
-
definitly let cable go...dont watch much tv anyways,,,,,, :clover:
-
that's a hard decision but I guess my cable
-
Although many of you picked cable as the one to go first, I am not sure. I lived without internet for 6 months, and frankly, did not miss it a lot. I rather enjoy my big screen TV and the company it keeps me. I am spending a bit too much time on line earning these pennies and might spend it more efficiently if the internet was not available.
-
I don't have cable so I guess that answers your question. ;)
-
I would probably let go of cable first but I definitely keep my internet
-
Hands down, I would give up the Cable service.
I use the internet daily to earn by selling on ebay.
-
Definitely cable which I already had to let go when my income dropped - netflix is the deal much cheaper but I need my internet for the netflix and to earn a little money here and there. :moneymouth:
-
cable. I got rid of it before and now I have basic. I could almost give up internet and just use my Samsung galaxy 4. have a great day all.
-
I would get rid of cable and watch my shows on the internet. I like technology
-
Cable would definitely be the first for us to cancel. I am seeing more and more of my friends and family get rid of cable and have told me they do not miss it one bit.
-
Cable would be first to go. There is so much more you can do on the internet now.
-
definitely cable cause we have a lot of movies to watch even if we already seen them we will watch them again.
-
No contest. I can live without cable. In fact, I'm getting free over-the-air TV--18 channels, all I need. And tons of DVDs.
-
No contest! Cable of course! You can watch anything you want on the internet; but, you can't make money on cable! :o
-
Cable for sure. I can get all the networks via antenna, so it's only shows I like on channels like SyFy, USA, TNT, etc - for those I can either watch them online when they are posted on their site, wait for them to hit Netflix, or buy a season pass at iTunes or Amazon. Plenty of options to keep up with those shows.
I need the internet to work, so there's no way I'd get rid of that.
-
Cable went years ago. I need the internet for work, so I can't get rid of it.
-
the cable guy
-
I'd let go of cable first because you can find many shows free online.
-
I've actually repeatedly thought about getting the cable cut off but when I look at my bill the internet is the bigger part of the bill, and I need that for school and business.
-
One more thing on this subject: the library offers 1-2 week free rentals on NEW movies and the late fees are only 10 cent per day.
-
Cable for sure. Cable relays some shows all time but interent has new stuff all time.
-
Not sure there should be any debate with this question anymore. Yeah, there is netflix but there is so much else also. You can watch tv with your computer.
-
I would have to say cable because a lot of shows you can watch online via internet.
-
I would also let go of cable first. They are both so expensive.
-
Cable.
-
For me it would be cable.
-
Neither I like my football and when that is done golf. Internet that is how I make extra income.
-
Cable cause you could live with the Internet on your phone but I wouldn't want to let cable go I love it lol
-
We never even signed up for cable. It is not necessary. If you have the Internet, you can watch whatever you want. We mostly watch NBC, PBS, CBS and ABC anyways and they all come over the airwaves for free so long as you have a digital converter box.
-
I could live without cable, I dont watch much that I couldn't very easily online. But take away my internet connection and I am lost!! I dont have a phone with internet so dont have that backup!
-
Cable. Most shows are available online in some manner. The money you save on not having cable can be put towards signing up for a few streaming sites and would still cost you less.
-
cable because u can get free t.v. but not internet
-
my family might not agree but i would have no problem whatsoever letting go of cable. internet on the other hand would be hard to give up
-

Totally agree, braggin! I quite cable almost 2 years ago because it kept going up in price and down in programs and services, while the "so-called" 'customer service' acted like it had a big old stick stuck in their butt!
-
No brainer.. we would give up cable. Theres so many things you can do without cable, youtube, netflix, hulu, ect. And all of that you need internet. I use the internet way more than I do cable throughout the day anyways
-
I would let go cable. We just bought a smart tv with wii fi. I can see movies from youtube and my facebook plus other good stuff.
-
Cable....down to basic as it is. Have a roku to stream free online stuff. Plus, make money with internet :)
-
Cable-Because I cannot live without of the Internet.
-
I already don't have cable and I make money on the internet so I'm not giving that up. Having said that, it's been over a year since we've had cable in my household and we miss it. Just waiting for them to install it. I hear about netflix and I had a few months of hulu plus, but there are just certain programs that we like (sports) that are found on cable. Growing up, that's what we had in the household and that's what I'm used to. I pay for what I like and right now that's internet and cable. To answer the question I wouldn't give up either one.
-
I dropped Cable for an antenna and streaming (Roku and Netflix) and the only thing I miss is a few sports, but that just gives me more time to make money online.
-
I would drop cable first. I think the internet is a better value than a high priced t.v. bill.
-
I would let go the internet because I need my cable, I love to watch TV.
-
Cable. I rarely even watch "normal" cable. I stream everything on smartTVs & regular TVs with Roku & AppleTV.
Cable, I predict will soon be a thing of the past.
Now Internet access, I can't live without. Well, I could, but I rather not :)
-
For sure cable because it costs too much. :bad:
-
Definitely cable - which I have done. I'm sure I'm not missing anything either.
-
Cable.
I don't watch much tv, but I am on the internet ALL the time. I could live without it if I had to because I have unlimited data on my cell, but it would be hard.
-
for us its cable which we already let go we really enjoy netflix
I turned the cable off like 5 years ago. I have an antenna. That's it.
-
This is not even close for me!! I'd let go of cable or satitilight first before internet, cause between the internet and Netflix there would be enough
-
Cancelled cable many years ago. And just had regular television for years. Have satellite now and have had it for about 9 years. Not pleased with it, but it's more convenient sometimes. If I had to eliminate one or the other, I think it would the satellite and I would keep the internet. So much available online that is either free or costs a lot less, plus there are games I can play all kinds of information I can pull up when I want to and there's little to no stupid ads. Can't get any of that with cable or satellite.
-
Cable cuz I can watch anything on the net sometimes for free!
-
I watch most of my shows online except for the news so I'd give up on cable anytime.
-
for us its cable which we already let go we really enjoy netflix
Cable because with the internet you can find any TV show.
-
cable would be the 1st to go.
I can see evrything I need on the internet tv shows and news etc :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin:
Yep! The internet has everything!
-
I don't have cable and I'm not sure I could live without the internet. If my internet is down, for some reason, I pace like a caged animal. It's not a pretty sight.
-
I would let go cable as I enjoy my interent
-
Cable would be the first thing to go .
-
I would drop cable in a heartbeat. Internet is an essential these days.
-
We let go of our cable over 5 years ago. Haven't missed it. We do watch some shows on the internet which we use way more than we ever did our cable.
-
Definitely cable. I could use Netflix and network websites to watch any TV shows I'm interested, so I wouldn't really have to live without TV if I didn't have cable.
-
id let cable go first dont watch much tv anyways,,,,,,,,
-
Cable, for sure. I can watch netflix, or stream shows on their websites. Besides, I don't make any money through my tv.
-
Most of you said Cable, but I would let go of the internet, I love my TV shows and the internet is not that good.
-
Hands down I would let our cable tv go before I would let go of the internet.
The internet is my second income so it is a necessity for me.
Cable tv is a past time
-
definitely the cable .. like the previous person said .. I can still watch tv on my computer
-
I, personally, would let go of cable first. My family would go bonkers. I wasn't happy when we were unable to get regular television channels for free and had to start paying thirteen dollars a month for clear reception. Then my wife wanted the tennis channel and, of course, you can't just purchase an individual channel so our package went up to over sixty dollars a month. Now the family either rents movies on cable or Netflix but, in either case, it costs even more money. I called our telephone company two weeks ago and negotiated our bill down by two hundred a month. Because of that success my wife asked me to negotiate the cable bill. I told her I would just cancel it because I don't watch television. I really don't because I am always working.
-
Like many other people have said, we ditched cable tv. Even my sister finally ditched it after going from one provider after another (but she is lucky to live in an area where her antenna can pick up free channels, so she can actually still watch a lot of her shows she used to, just without the dvr lol).
We invested the saved money into another laptop, hooked that up to the big screen, and upped our internet. Nowadays you can get things like Roku and Chrometv (or whatever) that hooks up to your tv. Not sure how they work exactly, but if the laptop ever dies, might get one for the tv.
The only benefit cable has over internet tv is a schedule. When you just want to veg out and watch something, it's a bit easier to flip channels until something catches your interest, rather than trying to "seek" out something to watch, if that's at all understandable? lol
-
Cable hands down. I already spend too much time on the internet.
If I had cable, I would spend too much time watching television as well. :P
-
definitely cable since you can watch TV on the internet
-
Cable , I can still watch all my shows with internet as well 👌👍
-
Cable. I just moved into a new place and just have internet. I barely watch TV anyway
-
cable of course; with internet you can watch everything
-
I gave up cable a few years ago and cable doesn't make me money.
-
Cable T.v. had to go it cost to much.
-
Oh no question it would be cable

Definitely CABLE- it's too expensive and the programming really is nothing to talk about unless you get all the bells and whistles!!
-
Cable easy... I don't watch tv, even if I start watching a program I can find it online
-
Cable. I barely watch TV and can catch clips on the Internet if necessary
-
I haven't owned a tv set in 15 years, I would much rather read a book or do an activity that expands my knowledge of our world and the Universe... :peace:
-
cable
-
Seeing as how I let go of cable a few years ago already, you have my answer.
-
Cable for sure!
-
Cable...but we have already gotten rid of it. We have two tablets, and two different game systems in our home. Not to mention everyone owns at least one smartphone so we have ample opportunities to find things to watch using, YouTube, crackle, hulu plus, plus movie sites that i use on my android to stream movies to my husband's PS3.
-
If I had to let go of one, it would be cable because you can watch many shows on the internet, plus we have Netflix. Also, the internet is used for so much more than watching shows (such as going on FC to make some extra cash!)
-
Pretty sure it would be cable.
-
Seems to be a landslide that I am going with I would get rid of cable first. In fact we have been talking about it already. We can watch programs on the Internet, Netflix, dvds, but I earn my money on the internet, besides a couple of these Fusion cash type of sites I am a Notary Public it all comes in to me over the internet.
-
I would say cable because you can watch network shows on the internet and there is programs like Netflix and hulu where you can watch tons of shows.
-
that would be a hard one...i would let cable go,but my husband would let internet go..i stay on the computer and he watches tv...lol
-
It's a tough question. I think I would let go of the cable first. I use the internet to make money.
-
I just need to change and get less expensive tv
-
definitely cable. i actually don't even have cable right now.... everything's on the internet, so who needs cable!
-
definitely cable. we havent had cable tv for going on 7 yrs just regular tv via rabbit ears and netflix. sometimes its really annoying because you cant find anything to watch but at least im not paying for cable tv and still not having anything to watch.
-
I would forgo cable, but cannot do without Internet.
-
We turned off our cable about a month ago and subscribed to Hulu. It doesn't have every show, but it has a lot, and it didn't take long to adjust to not having the tv to just be able to turn on.
-
I would let go of cable first and have even been thinking of that as they're so expensive. There are many ways to get television shows, including Netflix, Hulu, direct site, etc. nowadays. Internet, I could never phase out as I do so much on there.
-
I'd let the cable go because you can watch most stuff online for almost nothing
-
for us its cable which we already let go we really enjoy netflix
I dropped cable about 7 years ago and have been netflix only ever since !
-
cable you can always get netflix online and most other stuff for very little or nothing at all . I love the internet
-
I cannot live without them!
-
Cable would go first. I can use the Internet to view a few shows etc.
-
cable definitely.
-
Cable everything is eventually available on the internet.
-
that would be a hard one...i would let cable go,but my husband would let internet go..i stay on the computer and he watches tv...lol
you can use the Internt to view movies tv shows etc.
-
It just depends you can do everything on the internet that you can do on TV so I really couldn't live without both, lolz!
-
I would have to keep the internet, we have a "Leaf" antenna that you just buy once and it gets lots of stations...
-
id let go cable as I like internet
-
defintley cable would go!!!
-
Cable I don't really watch stuff that much nowadays.
-
Our local cable company was really slow getting the high-definition broadcasts so we went with satellite service. I love hi-def and really, really love 3-D (which is not being broadcast but there are some very cool 3-D DVD's out there).
-
Cable definitely. I am thinking of letting it go. So many things are too expensive and the cable companies are taxing people for state, city and county taxes. Now how much is going in the politicos pockets.
-
I would let go cable first than the internet, because you can still see shows and movies if you have internet. You can't do go to the internet with only cable.
-
We never even got cable; don't need it because most of the shows we want to watch are on PBS anyways. So cable would be the first to go if we ever got it, but we probably won't. You can watch a lot of shows on the internet anyhow, so the internet is more important than cable.
-
CABLE! you can watch your tv shows on the internet! We haven't had cable for years, waste of money, no one is ever home to watch it, or when we are, we're glued to our laptops/phones.
-
cable becouse u can get free tv in most places.ad I think that the internet is more fun!
-
cable because we can still watch shows if we have internet
Exactly..same here
-
I don't have cable so yeah probably cable.
-
most definitely cable....i don't get into television much but if i didnt have internet i couldn't do my surveys!!!
-
Well I'd let cable go first since I don't watch much TV anyhow but mine are linked together in my house!!!
