We all interact with others and our interaction with other people is usually considered some type of relationship.
What is required for you to feel that you're in a healthy relationship with someone; whether it's mother, father, sister, brother, spouse, child or friend?
For me:
A health relationship is one where 2 people are able and willing to bring out the best in each other. It's all about wanting the other person to be happy and healthy and at the same time, recognizing that each person is responsible for their own health and happiness.
What do you consider a healthy relationship?

A healthy relationship is one where all parties get what they need from it, i.e. being truly heard. :highfive:

To me, the most important part of a relationship is communication and honesty. If you can't talk to each other, you can't possibly know how the other feels. If you can't talk to each other, one party is certain to feel like you're hiding something. If you're going to lie to your partner (or mother/father/sibling/friend/wife/husband), then don't be surprised when the relationship starts to fall apart (or does fall apart), and don't expect your significant other to understand after-the-fact.

There are a lot of toxic relationships out there. Be honest with your relationships with others. In a healthy relation, there is no place for fights, quarrels, dominance and other bad behaviors. Happiness and harmony will prevail in a healthy relationships.

Well I guess everybody is different and we all need different things from a relationship. Communication and honesty are essential attributes for me because without honesty, you don't really have the relationship you thought you had and without communication, how will anybody know how you feel. I think it's important to consider someone else's feelings as equal to your own but my biggest motto for a successful relationship is, .. live and let live!
