I spend way more time on there than I should.
I try to limit the time to an hour or so, mainly because I'm not making money while I'm Facebook.

I tell myself that I'm only going on there to check on my grandkids' activities, but I end up watching a thrillion silly videos and wasting a ton of time.

Then I'm mad at myself.  >:(

It's the cool thing these days to bash Facebook. I 'get' it that it can suck up your time IF you allow it too.  I stick with it and applaud it because of all the distant family and friends that I am able to keep up with.  To have to do so on an inividual basis via email would be formidable and just woudn't happen.  On Facebook I can be spontaneous  and grab a moment when I have the time or inclination.  And that may be 1 AM  :)  I'm usually on there up to 30 minutes per day.
Oh, unless I'm using my business page to promote new Etsy listings - then longer.

It depends on what's going on that day. If I don't have anything going on, I use it a lot, if I do, then I use it less

I go on in the morning and sometimes in the evening. I rarely go there on the weekends. I have family on there and it's nice to see how they're doing. The games are a big time waster so I limit them.

I don't go on facebook at all. I am total against people putting their whole life online.

I'd say I average about 30-45 minutes per week on it, mainly seeing what my two grown children have been up to and if my one daughter has posted pics of my granddaughter.  Otherwise, I'm not much interested and encourage my children to not post too personal things about themselves on it.  My one listens; the other still gives too much info, in my opinion.

Initially, when I created my account on Face Book; I was addicted to it. There isn't much to do I believe, but still I used to spend long hours in chatting, uploading videos and photos. Later, I realized that I am wasting a lot of time on that. Now, I spend not more than half an hour on it and I am happy about it.

I like using my desktop computer for FB and, for a while, I was spending 4-5 hours a day on it, but lately, with trying to get away from politics, I on there about 3 hours. LOL

My son gave me a tablet last Christmas and I'll admit, I'm being a bad girl. After supper, I get back on FB because I like to read different news items and comment on them. He got it for me after my hospitalization so I could stay in touch with everyone. (When I was in the hospital, I had borrowed one of my nurse's tablets to let my family know how I was doing.) I try to stay away and just play the games with my cousins, but it's impossible...so it's another 2 hours at night and usually only 2-3 news items plus comments.

I hear you.  I don't have an account either.  My husband does.  He finds that he spends more time on it than he would like.  I have more than enough sites to work on a daily basis as it is.  I certainly don't need Facebook to add to the mix.  Now I am considering having a business account with FB.  But it would never be to waste time with the latest news about this, that and the other.

I spend a little time on Facebook.  As a ministry, I post Bible verses on Facebook each day.

I go on once a day and read the new posts and respond if I'm so inclined. That being said, occasionally I will get sidetracked.  One day I spent 2 hours watching animal rescue stories on YouTube after viewing one on Facebook.

I spend no more than 15 minutes, maybe every other day, on Facebook. I just browse the posts from friends and family, and have pretty much worn out the LIKE in the posts I find appealing.

BTW, I did read that if you just follow Facebook and do not participate in it that you will be sad.  :'(

However, if you post things and make comments, then you will enjoy it. I think that makes perfect sense.  :highfive:

I don't spend much time on facebook.  I use it primarily for staying in touch with family and friends.  It's an affordable and convenient way to stay in touch.  I'm shocked at how much time is spent on there for many.  Personally, I don't have much time nor do I want to spend what time I do have reading about everyone else's experiences.  I'd rather make my own by living in the world rather watching it pass by through social media.

Well now I'm beginning to feel a whole lot better.  For quite some time I thought I was the only person alive who didn't have a FB account.  I was thinking that everyone liked social media except me.  Truth be told, I have no problem being different.  If I'm the only one not liking something, so be it.  But in this case, it looks like I'm in good company.   ;D

Many of my family are on Facebook and I find out how they doing. We live far apart. My younger ones post way too much about their lives. But they are in their 30's so none of my concern.

I have accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Google + but the only one I really ever visit on a regular basis is Twitter.

I set up my Facebook account for sites like FC and GH; so I could link the accounts and use it as a way to find promo codes for the sites that use them.

The biggest mistake I ever made was to start adding a few friends and family.  My uncle begged me to add one of his friends to my Facebook and, like an idiot, I did.  I get on the computer the next day and I have over 100 friend requests waiting for me on Facebook.  Apparently, this person that I did not know and just added as a favor to my uncle had sent me her entire FB friend section for me to friend.  I don't know any of those people.  What makes her think I want to friend people I don't even know?  I go to Facebook maybe once or twice a month, if that.  I don't even use it for the purpose I created the account for anymore.

Since Facebook came along I think people use the term "friend" way too loosely.  For me to call someone my 'friend' they have to be just a little more special to me than a name on the Internet and the personal details they choose to share over the Internet.  "Friends" are people I know personally, have known for a long time and trust.  We have a bond and it takes more than one click on a web page to create that bond, IMO.

I have a FB account which I check a couple times a week but I find most of the things on there not very interesting.  I really don't much care for about 95% of it.

I don't spend a whole lot of time on it but check in a couple of times a week. I have tracked down a lot of members of my extended family...cousins, whom I had lost touch with and even a couple of grade school and college friends.  Amazing who you can find there!  Sometimes I see some really interesting stuff on there but I think alot depends on who your friends are as to the quality of the posts....hey, kind of like real life!

I like a few sites there and for some break time play a couple of games. Then I go back and do surveys and videos.
