I thought it would be an interesting topic to see how many would actually admit to knowing a real celebrity. I don't know any myself, but if I went to California and made up with my sister who kisses Celebrity butt, then I am sure I would get to meet a few. Her "occupation" ...what I like to really call it is "I get used & abused by a celebrity" IS on and off again personal assistant to the celebrities, such as "Paris Hilton", "Paula Abdul", and "Wayne Brady", to name a few.
Who do you know personally and how did you meet them?

i know JD Shelburne country music singer --he grew up in my town and i know Dustin Lynch he is good friends with my daughter --thats it --i wish i knew Kevin Costner tho i just love him !!

Yes! I knew a gentleman by the name of "John Costelloe." Before he became a celebrity he worked with my husband and we all became friends. He became a firefighter in New York, I believe for about 11 years, after working with my husband, and after that worked in the movies. Some of his more memorable roles were in "Black Rain," "Die Hard 2" and "Doubt." He was a great guy!!! This kid knew every, single, word to the old cartoon "Speed Racer," LOL. We used to laugh when he sang it. Unfortunately, John committed suicide in 2008. We never did find out why. RIP, John.

Not really, unfortunately :( I knew someone who made it to the top 10 in American Idol...if that counts...
-
I wish, lol. I've only seen 1 or 2 D-list celebs in passing.

I would assume this person would be categorized as a celebrity. I met and knew Lawrencia Bembeneck, the Milwaukee police officer who was convicted (framed) for killing her husband's ex-wife, escaped from Taycheedah Prison, was re-captured in Canada and was released on a no-contest deal made with the courts. One of my closest friends was actually related to her--they were cousins. There were several books/movies made about Lawrencia's life.
-
I guess sort of. My cousin is a major casting director for many movies. I have met a few celebrities through the years though. They are cool and normal people just like us.
-
No, I don't know any celebrities.
-
No, I do know any celebrities personally but have met a couple. I've met Carrol O'Conner, Henry Winkler, Robert Praglo.

When I was a teenager I met a singer because my uncle is a promoter. but as far as recently no I haven't seen my uncle in five years but he is still promoting and so are my cousins. Celebrities are people in a profession and I don't like to mess in their private lives. So I just watch them and let them live.
-
I have met a lot of people in my day job that would be considered celebrities or past ones but I don't know them personally.
-
A boy/man bander who's also an actor. Won't give a name but since there are not that many, I'm sure you can figure out who :p

i met neal mccoy once...and i have a cousin j.t. fitch who plays with southern experience..he's gonna make it big one day..they have a cd out and he can sing.he's not the lead singer.but he sang at his grandfathers(my uncle) funeral..he sang one of elvis's songs that was his grandfathers favorite..wow..they are from shelby,nc...

Why would you not admit it? Just curious?
I do not know anyone personally. But my dad went to school with a guy that is a movie star today.
-
I have never met a celebrity either but it is not that important to do so.
-
Yes, I've met a few rock stars and dressed some movie sets so I've associated with some actors. I even met a couple well-known authors. I keep in touch with a few through Facebook, but I'd say they're just casual friends, not "besties".
-
I'm not sure you would consider him a celebrity, but Elliott Sadler lives about 20 miles from where I live. I use to work at the local bowling alley and he came in one night with some friends. I talked to him and he even hugged me.
-
I have seen some celebrities in my lifetime, but I don't personally know any. My husband went to school with the original Statler Brothers (actually, only two of them are brothers).
-
I don't. My college roommate had Bill Murrey stay at her summer home during the filming of "Groundhog Day" and she has pictures with him and her sister. My friend also met and talked to Kirk Cameron!
-
I don't really know any celebs however I do have a funny story. The other day, my husband, our two sons and some friends of ours were visiting a Nerf Wars facility (Nerf Guns) in Boise, Idaho. We were at the front of the queue, the queue was long and one can't help but people gaze. To our amazement we were right in front of Geena Davis (Stuart Little). My friend introduced herself and they were chatting for a while before entering the Nerf Wars facility. Our family had a lot of fun and my husband, delighted with his performance, can now claim he officially shot out Geena Davis!
-
No, I just know them from their movies and such, I would hate to be one because nobody leaves them alone...
-
nope do not know any!.............. :glasses-nerdy:
-
No. And I'm fine with that. They're just people with talent who got an opportunity for fame. Everyone is special.
-
We have a celebrity here in our county. I went to church with him and his family along time ago. Hope everyone has a good day. Him and his family were in walmart, which is where I work. . :)
