No.That check is not any business to the IRS. Not enough to mess with. Besuides, they are way to snoopy anyway. As long as I pay what I owe, gov should stay out of my business. BMaston12

Unfortunately for myself I have not made enough money at Fusion Cash or any other site for that matter to receive a 1099.  It would be nice to earn that much in a year's time but this past year especially I have not had the time to fully devote myself to making a lot of money online.  But it's still nice to earn a little extra spending money.  Every little bit helps and it is a lot of fun.

That's a really good questions.  Not me.  I would be overjoyed if I made that much online though.

No, I have never earned enough to warrant a 1099 from Fusion Cash.  It would be nice, though, to have earned that much!  Maybe in 2015 it will happen!

I once read a blog about this. Based on what I read, you have to earn $ 600 or more to get a 1099.

I have a hard time reaching the minimum payout in two months, especially now.  I never qualify for surveys and I have been having difficulties with Radio Loyalty and the videos.  I don't like having to shop for rebates and I qualified long ago for most of the no CC required offerings.

lol.  No where close.  Everybody would like to make more.  But with all the time in the world I don't see how anybody can make over $600 on this or any other survey taking site.  People say they do it and I won't call them a liar but I can't see how it can happen.  When I am not at my real job I am online doing or trying to do surveys.  Most of them pay way less than $1 and take close to an hour to complete.  I am very skeptical of people who say they are paid $75 to $100 for ONE survey.  Would be nice though cause living in a house has been enjoyable.

I received almost $700 in 2014 so it's possible. That was mostly surveys and the regular bonuses. I have no active referrals and don't pay for anything

Sure wish I could figure out how to do that or where these high paying surveys are.  I could use the money.  I have been in a couple of focus groups that last 90 minutes where I got $30.  But those are rare.  I keep seeing this 5 minute survey that pays $100.  All I can do is laugh.  No company will pay a person that much money for 5 minutes.  I am just trying to qualify for enough surveys on fc right now so I don't lose my money I have already earned.

I actually had a survey on another site that was $75 for a 5 minute survey. It was technically true. The initial survey only took 5 minutes but I had to do follow up surveys for the next 6 weeks about holiday shopping. It was easy enough and I received my money

I don't necessarily do higher paying surveys. I don't limit myself to just the FC surveys. I'm more likely to qualify for several lower paying daily surveys than a couple higher paying FC surveys

If you're at the risk for losing money dedicate some time to try surveys. Look at the ranking list on the side of FC surveys to see which daily surveys more people are successful at the time. You can do yoursurveys multiple times in a day and they're usually short and easier to qualify for than some others

It depend if you don't cash out for three to four month (before 180days) and built up to next year, some of us may need to receive 1099 for next year.

It's money received in the calendar year so theoretically you should make the same amount whether you get monthly payments or twice a year. You are missing out on the few free dollars from the proof of payment bonus though

I hit $600 in October and wasn't going to wait to get money until February. That would have just caused me to do the forms mid 2015 instead

You could have cashed out in December for a January payment date if you were trying to defer some of your earnings to 2015.  No need to wait until January to cashout.  The system enforces the 1099-MISC/W9 reporting system based on the calendar year of cashout receipt -- not the date when you request cashout.  That's the law, to our understanding.

The W9 collection happens when you hit a cashout request that would put you over $600 received in a calendar year.  The 1099-MISC issuance always happens at the end of the January following said calendar year.  Point being, it doesn't matter much whether you hit $600 during July 2015 or November 2015.  It all goes on the same tax return.

As always, this is not intended to be tax advice, I am not a lawyer or accountant, and I insist any readers considering taking anything of the above as advice to meet with a professional who can examine your particular situation and give you relevant advice, since there are no "one size fits all" answers.

Nope but when I was unemployed a few years back I was just a few dollars shy of making $600 on Opinion Outpost for the year. Practically lived on the computer back then. (Also seemed like it was much more easier to qualify for surveys than it is now.)

Technically speaking, any income a person earns is supposed to be reported whether you receive a W2 or 1099 or not.  Most money people earn from sites like this is considered "hobby money" on the 1040 form.  If you sell things on Ebay or a garage sale or Craigslist - those sales may also be considered income and should be reported.  Just because you don't receive a 1099 doesn't mean you are not supposed to report money earned.  It just means you did not earn $600 from a single payer - by law, businesses are required to issue a 1099 when they have paid $600 or more to any individual or business, and send a copy of that 1099 to the IRS.  So if you do get a 1099, definitely report it.  However if you earn less and don't report it, and ever get audited - if the audit reveals you had income you failed to report, you could be in trouble.

Like Admin stated, be sure to consult a tax professional for your situation.
