I have toast.  If I don't have toast, my parrot gets upset because whatever I have, he has.  I would never deviate from the breakfast menu. An angry parrot is nothing to mess with.

Protein gives you energy that lasts longer.  I usually have eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast.

One of my favorites is peanut butter on toast.  I sometimes even put a spoon of peanut butter in the oatmeal and stir it around.  YUMMY!

I drink smoothies for breakfast.  I switch up which one fruit I put in there but I make sure sure to get plenty of kale and spinach in there.

Lately I've been on an egg sandwich kick.  Weird cause I generally don't like egg's.  I've been scrambling them, adding a few slices of lunch meat, a slice of kraft cheese on toasted wheat bread.  It's really been holding my appetite over and since I've been working outside the house again it's really helped.  Not to mention my swollen belly seems to be shrinking too.

quinoa is great too. There are people making their own brands of cereals and being creative with the brands names.
oatmeal can be GMO (genetically modified).
Science is one thing. Food is another.

I like Bran Flakes or Wheaties. I also like Oatmeal with a blend of fruit and yogurt in the morning. My son and I love fruit in the morning and will usually just eat a whole plate of fruit salad with plain whole wheat toast. He eats so much veggies and fruits I think he's becoming a vegan! Lol I also like those Lean Cuisine Egg and Bacon Cheese Sandwiches.  :in-love:

I make a morning shake with four frozen peaches, four strawberries, six dark cherries, half of a banana, a spoonful of frozen orange concentrate, a scoop of flavorless protein powder (with the equivalent of twenty grams of protein), three ice cubes and a cup of milk.  Sometimes I'll add a teaspoon of creatine if I am working out on a consistent basis. I also have a hard boiled egg (five more grams of protein) and a cup of Deathwish coffee (which has two hundred percent of the normal caffeine that a normal cup of coffee has).  This is generally thrown together after a briskly paced one mile walk with my two Golden Retrievers and before I make lunches for the family.

V8 energy drinks.  50 calories, nutritious with a kick of caffeine. I can't go a day without them.

I do usually have oatmeal for breakfast. Another great option would be to have eggs except for those that suffer from high cholesterol. A better option for them would be egg whites. Granola and yogurt is a great option, or fruit and yogurt. Of course I love all of these breakfast sandwiches from fast food chains however they are usually high in calories.

For something quick if I'm on the go, I would get something like a granola, breakfast or protein bar to snack on. If I'm willing to spend extra, I would pick up a muffin, scone or something else to take with me. If I had a little more time and thought of this beforehand, I would make my own protein shake to take with me. Cold cereal is also generally quick, but something I would have to devote myself to eating at home then.

For a quick energy boost, I think of something like a breakfast / granola / protein bar or shake.  I periodically have this when I'm in a rush, but need something in my system. If I have more time, I will spend a little more time for my bacon/sausage, eggs and toast or something more.

We have laying hens so we eat farm fresh eggs almost every day. Packed with protein it fills a person up and gives them energy for a good portion of the day.  Nothing like home raised food in a good environment to meet nutritional needs!

We rotate between bran muffins (usually with blueberries thrown in the batter) bagel & cream cheese with fruit and nuts or oatmeal with banana and walnuts and then on Sunday splurge and have pancakes and bacon.

I got a coupon for a free box of Belvita Biscuits. I had never had them before and they were pretty good. They are supposed to give you energy b/c of all the healthy ingredients.

I hear oatmeal is good for filling you up and helping you stay fuller through the day but I've never experienced it giving/sustaining energy. I have heard that apples provide better and healthier energy than coffee in the morning. Also bananas are supposed to be good for boosting energy. If I have the opportunity, I really enjoy having some fresh fruit for breakfast, or at anytime during the day. Nuts are supposed to be good for energy too I think, but you don't want to eat too much of them because they're high in fat so you don't want to overdue it.

Those Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits do the trick. It's healthier to have OJ (acidity aside), but I prefer caramel hot cocoa.  Haven't been able to find the Nestle brand lately.
