I highly recommend Tax Act.They do Fed for free and charge $10/20 to do state. They walk you through it very well.If you are comp literate you will enjoy this site. And save $$$$$
-
Good for you! I do my own and used Tax Act also for many years but I was just hired at H&R Block and now I can do them for free ,...yay! lol ... I also do friends and family and don't charge them anything. :)

-
My husband does our taxes and our children's by using Turbo Tax on the computer.
-
I did my taxes yesterday.I do my own online with the help of Tax Act.I always do both my federal and state taxes on there.
-
I'll be having mine done this year by H&R Block. It will be my first year since my divorce and I don't want to screw them up!
-
I either go somewhere and pay someone to do it for not that much or bring it over to my older sister and she helps me out if I take her somewhere to eat and go somewhere she wants to go because shes lazy to drive.
-
We usually go to H&R Block. They don't charge much, and I feel safer than doing them myself.
-
I do my own with Turbo Tax.
-
I do my own taxes. Have done them for many years.
-
We hire a guy that do our taxes ever year, his very good at it and the cost is fair.
-
My husband uses the H&R Block at home software and it really works well for us. The first year he used it he wasn't totally convinced how accurate it was so we also paid for a professional tax accountant to do our taxes aswell. To our delight we found that the refund came out to be the same (although the cost of a professional accountant was pricey). So, we are happy to continue using the system that works the best for us, H&R Block at home. I would recommend it for sure.

My parents help me...we do it through Turbo Tax so it's free Federally. I don't make a lot of $ and have few assets (I guess that's why I'm on this site, right?), so it's pretty basic to file once I receive all my forms and numbers. I just wish I paid less in taxes ...
-
I do my own using a site online to submit the taxes. I have used this method for about 4 years now and have not had any problems thus far.
-
I do my own using Turbo Tax! Save a lot of money on an accountant!!
-
My mothers boyfriend Bill does mine, he was a tax attorney and judge back in the day now retired and he does my taxes for free yay!
-
I do my own taxes, so much easier that way
-
I did mine with the free Turbo Tax program--mine are easy, and TN has no state income tax.
-
Mine are not nearly complicated enough to pay someone to do them. I do it online. Hopefully one day I will make enough where I need to pay someone else to do it.
-
Me. I am reminded of that episode of Reba where Brock and Reba are audited along with Barbara Jean. And BJ says "I have been doing our taxes" and Reba is like "so" and she says again "I HAVE BEEN DOING OUR TAXES" lol
-
Did my own butnowI have someone do mine
-
Just get the tax software and do it yourself. Plus nobody will know all your business.
-
Good for you to keep up with the IRS. We have used an accountant for years. I collect all the information and he does the work. That way, I keep up with our expenses, but don't have to keep up with the laws. :D
-
I do my own taxes and this was the first time i did it this year. Newly out of college starting to take on my own responsibilities is a good feeling.
-

My wife buys turbo tax and does them for us.

I do my own.

I used to do my own taxes. But now I have a few investments in the stock market and I have to pay the Obamacare tax penalty so it's more complicated for me. I let my brother do my taxes as he has an accounting degree and is good with numbers.
-
I've been using TaxAct for a while now. My finances are not all that complicated so I still do my own taxes. Maybe some day I'll need to hire an accountant, but I'm so interested in the topic I may just take courses to become a CPA and still do my own. :)
-
Someone I know that is like family does our taxes.
-
I have always done my own. I worked for Jackson Hewitt when I was in college. Taxes are not rocket science. You get forms, you input them, you pay or get refund.
-
Usually an accountant

My dad's accountant.
-
I do my own taxes.
-
I haven't had to do taxes, YET! Thankfully!
-
I do my own

Did it myself this year. Used a website and they did it all free. So far not seen any problems. Don't have anything complicated to make it even more complicated so I don't think there will be any issues.
-
My husband and started doing our own a few years ago using Turbo Tax. Federal is always free and this year filling state was free too.
-
i do them on the computer for free!!!!!!!!
-
we dont do taxes...husband gets a disability check....
-
I do my own taxes. My taxes aren't that complicated that I need to pay somebody to do them for me.
-
I do my own taxes because I can't afford to pay someone to do them for me. It's complicated though because I have my own business.
-
I do our taxes with an online program. It doesn't take much effort after you have all your info and documents assembled.
-
We have an accountant doing it for so long maybe 15 years that's why the pay is not that high.
-
I was going to do them again myself through TurboTax or HR block or some site like that. I work at a CPA firm and they do our taxes for free so I don't know why I would pay to have them done! Especially because for some reason I am only getting $100 back. I'm very disappointed and not sure why but at least I didn't owe.
-
We haven`t have our taxes yet, still waiting, our tax guy is so busy this time of the year. He is very affordable, so he got so much costumers.
-
I do my own using tax act.
