I think more women love this book or movie more than men. Why is that? men don't talk much about 50 shades of grey as much as women do.

In my opinion, no one should see 50 Shades of Grey.  It is sadistic and misogynistic.  >:(

I hope Fusion Cash women will not take the bait of viewing this form of erotica. I'm sorry, but it seems emblematic of a lot of the problems in our country. Family values have left the building.  :'(

I don't think an opinion was asked, I believe she asked if you were going to see it, start your own topic on your opinion about it, thank you for your cooperation and if you don't like something than avoid it 8)

We watched our friends children so they could have a night out on VDay and they saw the movie...said it was kinda corny but my friend has not read the book so a lot was left out in the movie...I'll wait for DVD :)

I read the book series, but now that the movie is out, I think I'll wait until I can watch it in the privacy of my own home.  I'm curious to see how the written word will translate to the big screen!

I have no interest, but I did see the music video photo in the entertainment portion of the paid to click, where Dakota Johnson is hanging "naked" in the air like a chandelier! Some really weird stuff...   :-[

I like the soundtrack, not really feeling the movie. As an indie writer, I do support her and I'm proud that she could turn Twilight fanfiction into a best selling book series.

I read the first book and half of the second. Really want to see the movie but will probably wait until it comes out on redbox or video on demand. A lot of people I work with went to see it and said it was really good.

You know, more and more people are complaining about this movie.  And no, I have not seen it.  But I know people who have and it is no worse than any of the other movies that show sexual scenes.  There are actually less sexual scenes in this movie than a lot of other movies.  And it does not actually SHOW anything more than any other movie.  A friend told me it did show him spank her with a belt.  Reality is BDSM is something people in real life participate in.  If that is what they want to do then that is their business.  The same with watching the movie.  In my area there were people protesting and trying to block people from going in to see the movie.  That is just looking for a fight.  Nobody has any right to tell ME what movie I can go in and see.  And the bigger deal people make out of it the more people who normally would not care want to see it.  People need to worry more about themselves and less about everyone else on trivial matters.

I have little interest in paying the money to see it in a theatre.  Actually, I am only mildly interested in it and will wait until it is On Demand or something similar.

I had no idea there was an entire series. Not really interested in the books so probably won't watch it. I haven't managed to watch Twilight or Hunger Games either xP So my taste is definitely questionable lol

BTW countrygirl12, I was told by friends that the problem people have with it is that the BDSM is so unsafe (in the "bordering on rape" way).
I mean, not *bleep* that really turns me on, so I don't care one way or another :P Just saying that it's not because it's sex that people don't like it (or not all the people? it's that it's the wrong way to go about sex? I dunno xP). There's essays out there by people really in that lifestyle/community/hobby/whatever if you really want to know. :P
(But I've heard similar stuff about Twilight, in that it's a creepy relationship. So ya know, everyone is ready to criticize fantasy in the fear that people will think it's reality or something.)

Although totally agreed, protesting this? Seems very weird to me.

People who have seen the movie say it is nothing like the books.  And the people that wanted a steamy hot sexy movie have been disappointed.  It doesn't show any more sex than the other movies on the big screen.  I know someone who saw it and she said it shows his play room and one time it shows him spank her with a belt.  And the rest is left to your imagination.

That makes sense.  We were talking about it at work and that's what they were saying.  But my point was the women who do this are not being raped.  They are not being forced into it.  They want to do it.  Not sure WHY you would want to be beat but apparently some women like it.  Apparently a lot of women are interested because the books and the movie had made the author bazillions of dollars.  lol

Despite being occasionally entertaining as a trashy erotic thriller, Fifty Shades of Grey's thin plot, shallow characters, terrible dialogue, and mediocre acting dampen the experience. The similarities to Twilight are remarkable (except the explicit sex scenes obviously) and after reading that this was originally fan fiction of Twilight everything made complete sense. The relationship is not a healthy one at all much like Twilight and the plot is thin at best. The excessive length of the film at over 2 hours was too much for what little plot there was. Nothing substantial happens in the second hour until the end when they end it on a cliffhanger for the next film. If you are a fan of the book I'm sure you will come away satisfied, but everyone else should skip unless they want to enjoy it as a trash romance.

I think the guy they chose (can't remember his name) is too boyish looking.  Definitely too young.  I think the lead should have been a more mature, rugged looking, suave man...and I do mean MAN!
